SV Rajendra Singh Babu - a versatile and popular director
from Kannada field - is launching his son Audhitya as hero
with the bilingual film 'Prem Nagar'. The muhurat of this
film was held at Annapurna studios today (29th June 2003).
Chiranjeevi gave the clap on the lead pair Audhitya and
Rakshita. Dr. Rama Naidu who produced Prema Nagar with ANR
in the past has switched on the camera. K Raghavendra Rao
directed the first shot.
Speaking
on this occasion, the director and producer of this film
SV Rajendra Singh Babu said that this film is a different
but realistic love story. This film would be extensively
shot in Hyderabad, Kashmir, Kaasi, Dubai and Egypt. He said
that this love story starts in Kaasi and ends in Kaasi.
Popular Bollywood music director Anu Malik is providing
music for this film. He has recorded 1 song so far for this
film. This film would be shot simultaneously in Telugu and
Kannada languages. First schedule of this film would start
today and ends on 10th of July. Second schedules starts
on 15th of August and ends on 30th of August. The shooting
of this film would be completed in the month of December
2003 and 'Prem Nagar' is expected to hit the marquee for
the Sankranthi 2003. A part of this different love story
would be shot in Egypt as it has similarities to the love
story of Cleopatra and Anthony. Rajendra Singh Babu said
that he is a great fan of old film 'Prema Nagar' and he
saw it for 50 times. However this film would not have any
shades and similarities of golden oldie 'Prema Nagar'.
Heroine
Rakshita said that she is a family friend of the director-producer
Rajendra Singh Babu. She knows the family of Rajendra Singh
Babu since her childhood. She said that she likes her character
in this film very much.
Hero
Audhitya said that he is playing a down to earth character
of an eligible bachelor. Dialogue writer Marudhuri Raja
said that Rajendra Singh Babu is a senior most technician
in the field and it's a pleasure to work for his film.
