Lyricist Jonnavithula is directing a film titled ‘Somberi’ with Ali as hero. Erramilli Venkat Rao is producing it. Muhurat of this film was held today morning at Annapurna studios. Ravi Teja sounded the clapboard, Mandali Buddhadev Prasad switched on camera and Rajamouli directed the first shot. Singer Mano composes music to this film.

Director Jonnavithula said, “The producer initially wanted to make a film with Bapu and it did not work out. He liked our story and is doing this film. The first schedule will last till 18 December in Ramoji Film City. We will shoot the rest of talkie part in Kuchipudi and Muvva villages. We will go to Dubai to shoot a couple songs and will release the film by 7 April 2008.”

Ali said, “I am doing a variety role. I am happy that mano who made his debut as child artist like me is composing music for this film.”

MV Raghu handles camera. Jonnavithula pens dialogues too in addition to screenplay, lyrics and direction.
