Sri Sarvasai Films that produced films like Indiramma (Vijayashanti) and Sivaram (Sai Kumar) is producing a film with Rambha. Rambha would be playing a vital character in this film. Sarath Chandra and Lakshmi Roy play main leads. Slvendran who assisted director Shankar for many films is making his debut as director. Muhurat of this film was held in Annapurna studios with Mahendra clapping on the lead pair and Paruchuri Gopala Krishna switching on the camera.

Producer Sai Ratnam said that this is sixth film in his career and he is introducing Shankar's assistant Selvendran as director. Tamil music director Bharani is scoring for a Telugu film for the first time. This film's shooting would be completed in 45 days of single schedule. Songs would be shot in Srilanka, Chennai and Paris.

Heroine Rambha said that her role in this film is similar to that of the one she did in Tamil film Sundara Purushan. She is looking forward to strike form in Telugu with this film. Director Selvendran said that this film deals with the concept of love marriages and arranged marriages.
