Supergood films made a direct Tamil film titled Punnagai Desam with Tarun as hero. Now Mega Supergood banner is remaking the same film in Telugu with the same hero Tarun and same director Shahjahan. Sunil, Akash and Rohit play other important characters. Priyamani is doing female lead.
Muhurat of this function was held at Rama Naidu studios on the morning of 9 May. Chiranjeevi sounded the clapboard and D Suresh Babu switched on the camera.
One of the producers NV Prasad said, “This is 3rd film on our banner after Andala Ramudu and Annavaram. This film will have lot of elements that appeal to the youth. Regular shooting starts today. We erected a set by necklace road. I hope that this film will run for 100 days.”
Hero Tarun said, “This film has friendship and family sentiment. I did the Tamil version. I am happy to do Telugu version as well.”
