Dasari, KRR launched Mohan Babu-Vaibhav film
The new film (Production No. 1), starring veteran star Dr. Mohan Babu in a prime role, costarring young hero Vaibhav, was launched today at Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad. Made on Sri Kumaraswamy Prodcutions, the film is directed by debutant Bhanu Shankar. Producer is Kumaraswamy Pattikonda.

Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao sounded the clapboard for the muhurt shot while Kannada director Om Prakash switched on the camera and K. Raghavendra Rao directed the first shot.

Mohan Babu said: "When the director approached me and narrated the script, I liked it very much. He came out with a good role for me. Some people asked me as to how could I work with a new artiste like Vaibhav. But, I told them that I was also a new person during my initial days. Vaibhav is like my children. His father (A. Kodandarami Reddy) is a good friend and well-wisher of mine. I appreciate the producer for his interest in the film industry and he has come all the way from Bangalore to do a Telugu film here."

Vaibhav said: "This is my third film and I felt excited to be costarring star actor Mohan Babu garu. After my debut film Godava, my second film Saroja is ready for release." Heroines Sneha Ullal and Bindhu Reddy said that they were thrilled to be part of this production and hoped that the film would bring them all luck and good future in the industry.

Kodandarami Reddy said: "Director Bhanu Shankar is a very talented technician. He had worked hard on the subject and readied a pucca script."

Director Bhanu Shankar said: "I should thank the producer for readily coming forward to produce this film. When I narrated the script, he only suggested the name of Vaibhav as hero. Kodandarami Reddy garu suggested me to approach Mohan Babu garu to play a very important role. I went to him with tension, but he was very much impressed with the script. It is my luck to direct Mohan Babu garu in this film. The audiences are also aware of the hit films of Mohan Babu and Ramya Krishna. The regular shoot will commence from August 21st."

The cast includes: Brahmanandam, Dharmavarapu, LB Sriram, Sunil, MS Narayana, Jayaprakash Reddy, Raghu Babu, Nazar, Ali, Chandra Mohan, Sudha, Hema and others.
