Anandi Arts and Concept Films together are going to remake Kannada blockbuster Amrutha Dhaare in Telugu. This film stars Sameer Dattani and Ramya who acted in original. N Chandrasekhar who directed the original will direct this film. Amitab Bachchan did special appearance in Kannada version. Amitab Bachchan’s part of the film will be taken directly from the original and remaining part will be shot again.

The Concept Films banner arranged a press meet today to explain the progress.

Jaya Sudha said, “I have done many films as cancer patient in the past. I heard many positive things about this film. This film is a love story with the backdrop of terminal illness. I am doing the role of mother in this film.”

Heroine Ramya said, “I made my debut with Abhimanyu film which did not do well. This is my second project in Telugu. The Kannada version of this film is a huge hit and CM graced the 175 days function held recently. He had to watch this film on 175th day by buying ticket in black. Generally heroine-centered films don’t do well at box office. But this film is different.”

Hero Sameer Dattani said, “I am basically from Bombay. I acted in 3 Kannada hit films. I am happy to start my career in Telugu too.”

Director N Chandrasekhar said that the inspiration for this film came from the conversation between a husband and wife he overheard in a park.

Shooting of the Telugu version was started on 5th of March. This film travels from Kanya Kumari to Agra (Taj Mahal). The unit will be traveling extensively all over the country for 25 days to shoot this part.
