Hari Yelleti is making his debut with a film titled ‘Ankit, Pallavi & Friends’ featuring Nikhil (Happy Days fame) and Megha Burman (Bru coffee commercial model) in the main leads. The friends characters are played by Venu, Surya(Ping Pong) and Pradeep. Hari Yelleti announced the title at a press meet held at Green Park hotel today evening.

Director Hari Yelleti said, “I completed my MS in USA and worked over there for a few years. I had been an avid movie lover since college days and that passion brought me here to make a film. Ankit, Pallavi and Friends (APF) film is about story of 4 friends and they journey after they completed their graduation. It is a young film told in an entertaining way. We signed Nikhil even before the release of Happy Days and our instincts about Nikhil proved to be right. We - Kishore Ganji, Raghu, Vekatesh Jakkampudi and Hari Yelleti - are also producing the film together. Malini Dasari - a graduate of Pune film institute - is making her debut as cinematographer. She won many awards for her work in short films in documentaries. We are also introducing a 23 year old Malayali guy called Vinu Thomas as music director with this film. Vanamali penned most of the lyrics in our film. We shot the entire film, but for 2 and half songs. Music will be launched in this month and we are aiming at April 2008 release.”

One of the producers Venkatesh Jakkampudi said, “I am a software engineer in USA and Hari is a good friend of me. APF will be identified by youth.”

Hero Nikhil said, “People are recognizing me and calling me as Rajesh for my work in Happy Days. After the release of APF, people will call me as Ankit. I should thank Sekhar Kammula first. When I narrated the story of this film to him and asked his opinion about this film, he asked me to go ahead and it will be like a Shahrukh Khan’s film. This film has beautiful emotions. Working with APF team is like working with the family members.”

Pingpong (Surya) said, “I am called as Pongpong due to the role I had done in Sye film. APF is a clean and youth film. I will get good name in this film.”

Lyricist Vanamali said, “I did four songs in the film. Vinu Thomas came up with good tunes. This film will act as a platform to Nikhil as a solo hero. There is only one duet in the film and all others are of different situations.”

Santosh Pawan said, “I did many films. But this film is special for me because I never done such a nice character so far.”
