Manjeera, a violent love story, is finished to its shoot. Made on MMK Arts banner, it stars Sridevi (Manjula's daughter) and debutant Gowtham in the direction of debutant Sai Bhanu with Motukuri Sambhasiva Rao producing it. A press meet was organised at Kunal Guest House this evening to detail the film's progress. The film's audio will be released in this month, while screen release is planned next month.
Violent love story: Debut hero
Gowtham said: "Though I am a debut hero, director Sai Bhanu helped me perform like a regular actor. I am also thankful to heroine Sridevi garu for her cooperation whenever I felt tough on the sets. I am a part of the story and story is not based on the hero. To be frank, this film has Sridevi playing lead role. I am thrilled to have worked with senior artiste Raghuvaran garu. This happens to be his last film. He showed sea of interest in this film, and he used to be completely engrossed in the project and didn't hesitate to participate in the night shootings also, that too during hours crossing midnight. It is an action-packed violent love story. All the characters have played well. I hope this film will become a blockbuster."
Inferno-like passion for Majeera: Sridevi
Sridevi said: "For the first time, I am playing the role of a Muslim girl in the film. When I heard the script, it was terrific and I felt tempted to do the film and I did it with an inferno-like passion. Not only me, but everybody had put in 100 percent hard work for the film. I was excited at a long chase sequence, first in my career. Cinematography and music are major plus points apart from the giant contribution from the story itself. I had a wonderful time working for the film at enchanting locations like Kulu and Manali."
A Gharshana-like fire in me: Salim Panda
Salim Panda, who plays the villain, said: "After Gharshana, I got this project making me rip with great villainy. I too play the Muslim character. I expect that Manjeera will turn out to be a mind-blowing hit."
Terric climax: Ram-Lakshman
Stunt masters Ram-Lakshman said: "When we are asked to work for the film, we simply thought that it would be a very small work. But after listening to the script and actually getting into the ring of action, we were awestruck. It has thrilling stunts, particularly the climax would be terrific."
