Recently AP Film Producers Counsel issued a circular cautioning the producers who want to cast Prakash Raj in their films by citing an example of his not being able to honor the dates given to a smalltime producer.
Mohan Babu in the capacity of President of Movie Artists Association arranged a press meet to condemn the act of Producers Counsel for going to media when the matter is still being discussed and in the purview of MAA. He said that MAA is feeling insulted for what AP Film Producers Counsel has done. Mohan Babu suggested that things like these should be solved amicably in stead of going to press. He also said that there are lot of pending cases against producers who delayed payments to artists. He suggested that producers counsel should solve the issues internally with MAA in stead of washing the dirty lenin in public.
I am not contesting again for MAA President - Mohan Babu
Mohan Babu also said, “I got elected for the post of MAA president unanimously in October 2004. My term is completing in the next month. The elections will be held on 8th October. I will not be contesting again for that post as I have many things coming up in the coming months. I would like to thank everybody who extended their cooperation. We participated in many things like rising funds through star cricket, piracy control, helping needy actors, organizing insurances for actors and actresses etc.”
