The first press conference of NTR's Samba was held
at Hotel Taj Residency on the night of 9th May 2004.
NTR, VV Vinayak (director), Kodali Nani (producer),
Kona Venkat (dialogue writer), Ravindra Babu (Cinematographer),
GS Rao (story writer), Gowtam (editor), Srinivasa
Raju (Art) attended this press meet.
NTR
speaks
Speaking
to press, NTR said that he has been keeping low profile
for Samba so far that the movie does not get over
exposure. It has been NTR's dream in 1999, when he
did his debut film 'Ninnu Choodalani', to do a film
with Kodali Nani as the producer.
VV
Vinayak has done extraordinary work for 'Samba'. NTR
said during Aadi shooting that there would be VV Vinayak
school after 'Aadi' was released. NTR expressed his
feeling that VV Vinayak is like a brother to him.
He shares an excellent rapport with Vinayak. Vinayak
involves in each and every department to extract amazing
work.
Kona
Venkat has given different dialogues for Samba.
NTR
said that he was close to producer Kodali Nani since
he was 10 years old. He said that Kodali Nani is the
only person who is with him and lent his support during
troublesome period. NTR recollected that Kodali Nani
used to come to his school in Guntur every week to
meet him and give moral support. It has always been
a dream for Kodali Nani to make a film with NTR as
hero. 9 is the lucky number for Nani. Hence, NTR's
9th film is going to be being produced by Kodali Nani.
NTR
said that each and every technical emotionally owned
'Samba' film, which is the reason why it has shaped
up extremely good. Prabhu Deva composed dance for
a NTR song for the first time for 'Samba' film. He
composed choreography for NTR's introduction (and
title) song in 'Samba'.
NTR
said that it was very difficult to get a powerful
story that outsmarts Simhadri film. When writer GS
Rao approached him, in stead of saying the whole story,
he just told the interval block and impressed him.
After meeting Vinay, GS Rao improvised the story and
made it a perfect one. Samba is an out and out commercial
film with a strong message in it.
NTR
about Andhrawala
NTR attributed the flop of Andhrawala to fate. He
said that he is feeling lucky to get such a flop at
early part of his career so that he could learn from
it.
NTR
about campaigning for Nani
Nani has got TDP ticket because of the service he
has done to the citizens of Gudiwada. He got the ticket
on his own merit, but not due to NTR. NTR went to
campaign for Nani at Gudiwada as a support to Nani
and as well as a support to TDP.

About making a film to compensate for Andhrwala buyers
NTR is making a film to compensate for buyers who
lost in Andhrawala project. NTR said that he would
make compensation films in the future too whenever
he gets flops. Kodali Nani said that they would show
the film to distributors and then sell the film at
reasonable prices only if the distributor liked the
film.

on politics
NTR always wanted to vote for legend NTR when he gets
power to vote. But legend NTR expired before NTR got
right to vote. NTR said that he is in his early 20's
and he does not want to talk about politics. He wants
to put all his efforts in flourishing his acting career.

Nata Viswaroopam in Samba - VV Vinayak
VV Vinayak said that Kodali Nani offered to make a
film to Vinayak after he saw the rushes of 'Aadi'
film. He said that NTR knows what he wants and who
his target audiences are. Vinayak said that Telugu
movie lovers would get to watch NTR in full glory
(NTR Nata Viswaroopam) in Samba film. Vinayak also
said that he is expecting the best actor Nandi award
to NTR for his performance in 'Samba'.

year old body with 60 year old man responsibilities
- Samba
Vinayak said that Samba is a film about a 20 year
old guy who has responsibilities that of a 60 year
old man. This film would also have strong message
about education.
Vinayak
said that the producer Kodali Nani has is good at
judging films. Vinayak said that Kona Venkat has penned
dialogues that are entertaining as well as thought
provoking. Prabhudeva complimented that NTR would
rule film industry for the next 20 years after seeing
his dances. Vinayak said that all the fights in this
film are story-related.
Kodali
Nani speaks
Kodali Nani said that he went to shooting location
for 5 days out of 90 working days. The rest of production
work was supervised by executive producer rikepudi
Sivaji and Sukumar. Nani said that he has seen the
double positive of the film and is extremely happy
with the outcome. He complimented Vinayak that he
exceeded his expectations on Vinayak.
Will
get good majority
Kodali Nani expressed his confidence over winning
the assembly elections with a good majority. He said
that NTR's campaign helped in getting good majority.
20th May audio and 9th June movie
Kodali Nani said that audio of Samba would be released
on 20th May which also happens to be the birthday
of NTR. Incidentally audio of Simhadri was also release
on 20th May. Samba is going to be released in the
2nd week of June. The expected release date of Samba
is 9th June or 11th June 2004.
