The unit of Oka V Chitram felicitated Dasari Narayana Rao at a function organized in Tabla Conference Hall in Hyderabad. This function is attended by Murali Mohan, Raviraja Pinisetty, Rama Krishna Prasad, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Gemini Kiran, Teja, Pradeep Pinisetty, Vamsi, Deepa and Madhu Shalini.

Guest Murali Mohan said, “Dasari came up without any God Father in this industry. Though I made my debut Jagame Maya film, it was Dasari who encouraged me in the beginning of my career. My first film with Dasari was Thirupati. I did an anti-hero role in Dasari’s film ‘Bharatam lo oka ammai’. Lots of directors in Telugu came from Dasari’s school.”

Tammareddy Bharadwaja said, “70% of the industry people came from the campus of Dasari. Dasari established Siri Media banner to encourage new talent and do small budget films. All the directors of current generation should take Dasari as a role model.”

Director Teja said, “It is a custom for everybody in film industry to call Dasari as guruvu garu. I did not call him guruvu garu when I met him because I was never his student. But during script stage, I learnt so much from him that I started considering him as my guruvu garu.”

Dasari said, “60% of the talent in Telugu film industry came from my school. Even in Tamil, I encouraged lots of people. It was me who Rajnikant approached me for the first time. Vikram acted in my Bangaru Kutumbam. Bharati Raja is also worked with me. I went to Chennai with barefoot. And came to this position by climbing each step. But directors these days have lifts to attain fame. I was away from Telugu film industry for the past two yeas. Teja sounded very desperate and frustrated when he met me. I told him that this is just the beginning of his career and he has lots of milestones to reach. Then he narrated a storyline. I liked it very much. Teja too introduced good talent to film industry. We are intrducing new talent with Oka V Chitram film. Media should also promote these kinds of different small budget films very aggressively. Tammareddy Bharadwaja took the responsibility of producer in my absence.”
