Press meet of Nagarjuna’s devotional epic Sri Ramadasu was held at the Garbha Gudi set erected in Annapurna studios on the morning of 29th December. This meet was attended by Nagarjuna, K Raghavendra Rao, Archana, S Gopal Reddy, JK Bharavi and Konda Krishnam Raju.

Audio release on Sankranthi - Konda Krishnam Raju
Producer Konda Krishnam Raju said, “The music sittings of the film were held at Bhadrachalam in the month of March 2005. We started the recording of 1st song in Ramalayam temple in Hyderabad. Currently we are shooting the last day work in this Garbhagudi set. We are planning to release the audio of Sri Ramadasu for Sankranthi 2006 in Bhadrachalam. We would release the film in the month of February 2006.”

20 Keerthanas in Sri Ramadasu - JK Bharavi
Writer JK Bharavi said, “I am feeling lucky to work for this project. We saw the rushes of the film except for climax yesterday and the entire film mesmerized me. Nagarjuna gave matured performance than Annamayya in Sri Ramadasu. Sneha is perfect replacement to Soundarya in Telugu film industry. MM Keeravani recreated 20 keerthanas of Sri Ramadasu in this film. Veturi penned title song. Chandrabose came up with experimental lyrics for a duet in this film. MM Keervani gave major contribution for Sri Ramadasu.”

MM Keeravani is the hero of Sri Ramadasu - Nagarjuna
Hero Nagarjuna said, “History says that all the films that were made on Lord Rama faced rough whether while making the film. Our film is no exception. We had initial problems and in a tragedy we lost two of the unit members. When I made Annamayya I was in the jolly mood of Ninne Pelladatha which I completed just then. But Sri Ramadasu is different. I listened to the story and okayed the film when I was doing Mass film. Hence I am mentally prepared for Sri Ramadasu. Shooting of the entire film is over except for climax. It feels good to act in such a devotional epic. When we did Annamayya nobody were sure of the success of the film. But for Sri Ramadasu there has been lots of expectations and craze. I saw the rushes of the film except for the climax. And immediately I called up K Raghavendra Rao and thanked him for giving me such a good film. There are certain emotional and moving scenes between me and my father ANR in this film. MM Keeravani is going to be hero of Sri Ramadasu. Though Annamayya’s music got national award, it was ignored at Nandi level. Hopefully Sri Ramadasu’s music should get both National and Nandi awards. Sneha suited the role very well. I am fascinated by Paluke Bangaramayena song from Andala Ramudu. It is nice to see myself doing that song in Sri Ramadasu now.”

Fortunate to play Seeta’s role - Archana
Actress Archana said, “I had given lots of dance ballets on Sri Ramadasu in UK and Dubai. I have very good idea about the story of Ramadasu. When K Raghavendra Rao announced this project, somewhere in my heart I knew that I might play a role. I am very fortunate to get the role of Seeta in this film.”
