Forget crowded stands and fans cheering, there was only a scattered crowd present at Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad, that also was more enthusiastic about seeing their favorite heroes than interest in the game. This is the setting for the match that took place between the film stars and the members of A P legislative assembly.

The legislators and the stars were practicing with full enthusiasm and looked like they were going to entertain the crowds. Just looking at the practice one could be sure of the winner in this match, the stars. The few fans that were gathered cheered as the stars including, Tarun, Vishnu, Tarakratna, Aryan Rajesh, Prabhu and others practiced. Then there was uproar from the crowd and all eyes turned to the entrance, Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan walked into the stadium with panache. With this the enthusiasm increased and both the teams were on the grounds. The Chief Minister, Y S Rajashekhar Reddy came and tossed the coin.

The stars led by Chiranjeevi won the toss and decided to bat first. Srikanth and Tarakratna were the opening batsman who looked confident and in control. Srikanth gave a stellar performance by scoring 59 runs before heading towards the pavilion because of a strained muscle. Tarak and Vishnu were keeping in pace and leading the team towards a good score, but unfortunately Tarak left the field early, retired hurt. Tarun who took his place was not able to live up to the expectations was out for just one run.

Next in line was Rajendra Prasad who tried to bring a few smiles to the audience by waving his bat for every single that he scored. But the partnership of Vishnu and Rajendra Prasad did not long last, with Rajendra Prasad's dismissal it was Chiranjeevi who took the bat and tried to compensate for the lose of wickets. But his efforts were wasted as he was out for a menial score of two runs. Then the wickets fell and kept falling regularly. By the end of the scheduled 20 Overs the stars scored a total of 168 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

During the break, Srikanth celebrated his birthday with the other stars wishing him and cutting a cake. The second innings started with the legislators team's batting. But the innings started with a wobble, Vishnu took his first wicket in the first over. Then in the third over he struck again and this time it was for a total of nine runs. The batting order of the MLAs fell prey to the bowling and fielding skills of the stars. But then came in the captain of the legislators team, Kiran Kumar Reddy who played a captain's innings and tried to save the team but his efforts were in vein.

In the fixed 20 Overs, the legislators could only score a total of 81 runs for the loss of eight wickets. But the number of catches that were missed in the match would be an embarrassment to any other professional team. But for an entertainment match the whole exercise was fruitful, with all the fans going back happy that they were able to see their stars and legislators in a different kind of action.
