Success meet of Sekhar Kammula’s latest movie Leader was held at Film Nagar Cultural center today night. It was attended by Paruchuri brothers, Suresh Babu, Venkatesh Babu, Ramesh Prasad, MS Raju, Chinni Krishna, VV Vinayak, B Gopal, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Richa Gangopadhyay, Priya Anand, Harsha Vardhan and Aswini Dutt.

Paruchuri Gopala Krishna said, “I read the script of the movie and I felt that it could become a legendry movie. Suresh Babu took a brave decision to introduce his movie with political genre. RaNa is trying different films like Venkatesh instead of getting into image trap.”

Ramesh Prasad said, “It is very difficult to make a film like Leader. It needs sincerity, commitment and dedication from director to attempt Leader kind of movie. The third generation of Rama Naidu family entered into films now. RaNa is also doing a Bollywood flick now. I saw Leader in Prasads for several times. I am extremely satisfied with the movie.”

VV Vinayak said, “I like Sekhar Kammula a lot. He is like Bapu of new generation. It is very difficult to make a political film without showing bloodshed. When Sekhar Kammula called me for the preview of Anand, I avoided it as I had to go for Shankar Dada MBBS film. I read an interview with him and understood his passion for old films. I watched Anand movie and loved it. Since then I started watching all Sekhar Kammula’s movies on the release day itself. I like calling RaNa as Rama Naidu. I suggested D Rama Naidu to keep Rama Naidu name in the title cards and then make it short as RaNa. Lots of commercial heroines including Venkatesh must have felt bad for missing such a nice and potential script like Leader. All characters are etched well. I am happy that my friend Subbaraju got a nice role.”

Venkatesh said, “I would like to thank audiences and film industry for encouraging leader. During the shooting of the movie, everybody felt that it was an experiment. Sekhar Kammula had a perfect script and he made the movie lots of honesty. I saw the rushes of Leader and opined that it would become a hit. I would like to thank audiences for receiving Rana’s leader and Naga Chaitanya’s YMC. I wish that they will work hard and reach greater heights.”

Bellamkonda Suresh said, “Leader is a good movie. I had an opportunity to buy this movie, but didn’t do it. I am repenting my decision now. RaNa is like Andhra Amitab. I hope that director will do many more great movies in the future.”

Sekhar Kammula said, “I would like to give the entire credit for the success of Leader to the production house AVM. I would like to thank Suresh Babu for giving me RaNa for this movie. RaNa is grounded even though he comes from a legendry filmy family. He worked like a newcomer - just like Varun Sandesh in Happy Days. Leader is the best among my movies. I prayed God to make this movie a hit. Leader movie is born out of my love for the country. I discussed about the reasons why our country is not developing to it’s potential. Masses who doesn’t often watch my movies are watching Leader film. Lots of politicians and government officials watched the movie. CM Rosaiah is going to watch it in a few days. Prakash Raj gave a positive statement voluntarily. Mohan Babu sent me a flower bouquet. Ramoji Rao said that it need guts to make such a brave film like Leader. Chiranjeevi expressed his happiness about my understanding of politics. I showed the state of our lives through this movie. I want leader is seed ideas about elimination of corruption in our country. Films like Aparichitudu and Mallanna are fantasies. A film like Leader is implementable.”
