Success meet of Sasirekha Parinayam film was held at Prasad Labs on the morning of 24 January. Genelia, Tarun, Krishna Vamsi, Sirivennela, Paruchuri Brothers, Ahuti Prasad, Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao, Suthi Velu and Dr. Filomina attended this function.
Lots of layers in the story – Sirivennela
Sirivennela said, “I knew Krishna Vamsi for the past 20 years. There are lots of layers in the story of Sasirekha Parinayam. It is an amazing film. There are no villains, but only natural characters. The specialty of this film is the heroine character. We perceive the heroine as one of our family members. Tarun and Genelia gave extraordinary performances. I got an opportunity to write a sensible song on woman in this film. We had over-toned songs (Aalayana Velsina …) and vulgar songs (Jackir Hussian Tabala nuvvena) on women in the past. But nobody made an attempt to represent the real women in a pious way. Krishna Vamsi has the habit of having social message in all his films. This film too has a powerful social message.”
Ahuti Prasad said, “Krishna Vamsi is an uncompromising director. There is Telugu-ness is all his films. A director should possess guts to make a full feature film out of such a small point.”
Suthivelu said, “I acted in films after a long gap. Jandhyala was the most comfortable director for me. Krishna Vamsi is also like Jandhyala. There are fewer dialogues and more expressions in his films. Genelia is like a hero in this film.”
Distributor Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao said, “Sasirekha ushered good days for Telugu cinema this year by releasing on 1st January. I saw the film and found it be heart touching. I bought the film after seeing the entire film.”
Sivaji Raja said, “I am like a permanent artist in Krishna Vamsi’s films. It is very difficult to work with Krishna Vamsi as he is a perfectionist. I feel proud to work with and associate with Krishna Vamsi.”
Dr Filomina said, “I am the principle of Villa Marie college. And while watching Sasirekha Parinayam, I felt Tarun and Genelia behave like my students. It was an entertaining move with a strong message for the girls and parents of girls.”
Tarun said, “I feel comfortable to work with Krishna Vamsi. I shown maturity in my work in Sasirekha Parinayam due to Krishna Vamsi. Sirivennela penned beautiful lyrics.”
Genelia said, “Sasirekha Parinayam is a special film for me. Generally movies revolved around hero, heroine and director. But Sasirekha Parinayam is a result of team work where everybody contributed a lot. I feel like a Telugu girl now. I owe Telugu audiences a lot for the position I am in now.”
Paruchuri Gopala Krishna said, “I acted in more than 40 films and I do monotonous work using my voice and eye expressions in all my films. It became a signature. Krishna Vamsi changed it all by making me actually act in this film. Krishna Vamsi has lots of patience and he would wait till he gets what he wants. Tarun is brilliant in the climax scene of the film.”
Sasirekha character is inspired by Ramya Krishna – Krishna Vamsi
KrishnaVamsi said, “I would like to thank the media who has been with me since my first film Gulabi in 1995. Sirivennela is like a father to me and he is very supportive. I share all my stories with him. He guides me with his valuable inputs. I would like to declare that Sasirekha Parinayam is an out and out Genelia show. I prefer to have my signature over the characters in my films. But after working with Genelia for a couple of days, I decided her to become the torchbearer of the film. We call her queen. I was impressed with Genelia in Bommarillu film. When I called her to act in the special song for Telugu cinema Vajrostavam, she came immediately by adjusting her hectic schedule. Generally heroines ask us to book flight tickets and accommodation. But she paid for everything and came with genuine interest of being a part of that song. At that time I told her that I would make a film with her. 50% of the traits of Sasirekha are inspired by my wife Ramya Krishna. She is also unpredictable and she reacts different for similar situations every time. Genelia brought piousness to the character of Sasirekha. I am a tough guy and I never get emotional while doing my work. The last time I had tears in my eyes was when I was working for Anthapuram film in which Soundarya did a superb job. After a long gap I had tears in my eyes when Tarun did the climax scene in Sasirekha Parinayam. I have tremendous respect for Paruchuri Gopala Krishna as an actor. I wanted him to do villain role in Sri Anjaneyam. He did not do it due to dates problem. I felt good when he accepted this role. Being a 300 film veteran writer, he penned two books on screenplay and I feel enlightened by reading those books.”
