Vishnu Vardhan Babu had a splendid reception today from the who and who of film industry for his debut as an actor through the muhurat shot of the film 'Vishnu' at Annapurna studios. Mohan Babu succeeded in getting the entire film industry present at Annapurna studios to bless his son Vishnu Vardhan Babu.

Hundreds of banners welcoming Vishnu Vardhan Babu were arranged wherever they found some empty space. Buses full of Mohan Babu fans graced the occasion with a white T Shirt that has Vishnu's photo imprinted on the front and Vishnu's name written on the back.

The traditional Pooja started at 7 am and went on till 9 am. The entire Annapurna studios reverberated with the mantras uttered by pundits amplified in the loud speakers. The atmosphere represented that of a holy shrine.

Ambarish (Kannada), Krishna, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Srikanth, Raja Sekhar, Uday Kiran, Taraka Rathna are few of the heroes who graced the event. Dasari Narayana Rao, K Raghavendra Rao, A Kodandarami Reddy, B Gopal, Teja, R Narayana Murthy were also present. Other dignitaries who attended this function are Chalasani Ramesh, Venkat Rao (father of Chiranjeevi), Jaya Sudha, Naga Babu, Suma Latha, Azharuddin, Pervaram Ramulu. Devi Vara Prasad, RP Patnaik, Vandemataram etc.

The chief guest Nara Chandra Babu Naidu came to the venue at 9 am. He performed the Pooja and gave clap for the shot. Dasari Padma switched on the camera. K Raghavendra Rao said 'action'. The muhurat scene of this film includes the hero saying 'Thank You' to God by looking towards the sky. A bus stop set was erected at Annapurna studio for the same.

Later, talking to the press Mohan Babu said that he is launching his son as hero after he felt that Vishnu Vardhan is qualified enough to become a hero. Mohan Babu seeked the blessings of everybody for his son. Paruchuri brothers said that they worked hard for the dialogues in the film. Though a separate scheme is followed for writing dialogues for Vishnu, they made sure that there are a couple of punch dialogues in the film in Mohan Babu's style. One such dialogue is 'Naaku rende telusu. Okati chirunavvu navvadam. Rendu chirutapulilaa tiragabadatam.' Dasari said that though superstars like Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan ruled the Bollywood, it was only Dharmendra who got the he-man image in Hindi film industry. That he-man position is vacant in Telugu film industry at present. He opined that Vishnu has all the ingredients to fill that slot. Dasari also told that Telugu film industry is plagued by the politics. He asked Vishnu to be frank and straight forward like his father in order to survive in this industry. The regular shooting of this film starts on 14th of February. This film would be released in the second half of this year. Shooting of this film would be done at Hyderabad, Tirupati, Chennai, Coimbattore, USA, Austria etc.
