Silk India Expo 2015 was formally inaugurated by Tollywood upcoming actress Bhavyasri and Socialite Ananya Simlai at Raja Rajeshwari Gardens, Near Diamond Point, Secunderabad. Weavers and artisans from 21 States set up 60 stalls at the 6-day expo being organised by Hastashilpi -Artisans & Weavers Welfare Association, It will be on till 15th june 2015.
“Through these exhibitions, able to create a good market for the weavers and customers and “It’s very nice to see various apparel, Pure silk designer wear, furnishings to be showcased here under one roof’’ Actress Bhavya and Socialite Ananya, said on the occasion.
“The aim of Hastashilpi is to promote, direct interact which benefits between the producer and the consumer, They are also able to offer products of good quality at competitive prices since there are no middlemen involved” said Organizer Abhinand. showcasing a wide range of pure silk and cotton fabrics, handloom saris, dress material, semi-stitched salwars, bed linen. Besides, it also offers latest and trendy footwear and other accessories” he added.
The expo offers a range of varieties including hand block print saris, suits and silk bed covers, designer dress materials, laces, kurtis, hand woven matka and Assam Muga fabrics, Apoorva Silk saris, Baluchari, Dhaka Masli, Gicha saris and boutique saris.
The 60-odd stalls are laden with Kantha, zordoshi, Lucknow chikan work, Bhagalpur suits, Banarasi, reshmi, printed silk saris, Maheswari, Chanderi silk saris and suit and Kota, mulberry silk with temple border, Banaras Jamdani, Mysore silk, crepe and georgette silk, chiffon and tassar silk and suits are other highlights.
