Pochampally Silks organised Handloom weavers Mela 2013 a 12-days exclusive Handloom products exhibition at Pochampally silk and Sarees, New Marketing Complex , Tilak Road, Abids. The mela will be from 19th to 29th July 2013 .Tollywood Actress Diksha Panth inaugurated mela by lighting the lamp and Mr K. Ram Gopal – Asst Director , Handlooms & Textiles Govt of AP.

Weavers from Pochampally , Gadwal , Narayanpet , Uppada, Venkatagiri , Exhibiting Exclusive Handloom products like ,Handmade bed & Home Linen, Dress Materials , Silk & Cotton Saris in exquisite designs & Contemporary colours by Textile designers & Skillfully created by famous Weavers from Andhra Pradesh .

“It’s glad to see various apparel, particularly Traditional Handlooms like , silk and cotton sarees, Dress Materials to be showcased for the Fashion Connoisseurs” said Actress Diksha Panth . “Platforms such as this are required to reach out women looking for well-designed cotton, silk wear & exclusive hand made products” she added.

`Traditional Indian artistry is dying due to modernization, our aim is to promote best artisans by putting up Mela , through such exposition artisans families get benefited, said Devender , organizer of mela . The artisans from different districts from Andhra Pradesh are going to showcase their Products.
