Tollywood actress Shravya, who shot to fame with the Telugu movie 'Kai Raja Kai', today inaugurated Sri Avanthi Silks' new showroom at Basheerbagh ‘X’ Road, Hyderabad.
“The elegance and beauty of an Indian woman still lies in the saree," actress Shravya said. Adding that handloom products were always a part of the Indian tradition and that Saree had always been her first preference
Speaking on the occasion, Mahesh Avasti of Sri Avanthi Silks said his company had two decades of experience in the wholesale business of handloom fabrics, and had now entered the retail segment.
"The concept of our retail venture is to bring to the customers handlooms like Kalamkari, baatic Print, Paithani, Ikkat Sarees Maheshwari sarees and more across the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattishgarh and Madhya Pradesh," Avasti said.
Sri Avanthi Silks also showcased today a live demonstration of the making of Kalamkari, baatic Print and Uppada sarees by weavers and artisans at its Basheerbagh showroom.
