Ayodhyakumar Krishnamsetty- the Director/ Producer of Minugurulu (a Telugu movie) under Respect Creations has screened Minugurulu movie on January 9th 2014 at Prasad Labs, as a part of the World Braille Day celebrations, to create awareness about the challenges faced by the visually impaired people in their day to day life. Famous Indian film actress Shriya Saran is the guest of Honor. The other guests present at the screening are National Association for the Blind President Jarugumilli Kukkuteshwara Rao garu, Secretary Telkar Baba garu.
Shriya Saran an Indian film actress and model, has volunteered for many Charity Organizations and is well known for her charity work. She is a long time patron for the blind. In 2011, she opened a Spa, which exclusively employs the visually challenged. It is called Shree Spa, and is located in Mumbai. She has said, “When I studied in DPS Mathura Road in Delhi, there was a school for blind exactly opposite to our school. I used to go there every week and spend time seeing how these students played cricket and did other things normally. That is what inspired me to do something for these people”.
Shriya watched the screening of Minugurulu movie along with Visually Impaired students from many organizations, to name a few:

అంధత్వం శరీరానికే గానీ మనసుకు కాదని చెబుతోంది ప్రముఖ నటి శ్రియా సరన్. అంధులనే చిన్న చూపు చూడకుండా వారిలోనే టాలెంట్స్ ని బయటికి తీయాలని శ్రియా కోరుతోంది. అంధుల సమస్యలపై అయోధ్యకుమార్ స్వీయ దర్శకత్వంలో మిణుగురులు అనే చిత్రాన్ని రూపొందించారు. జనవరి 9న ప్రపంచ బ్రెయిలీ దినోత్సవాన్ని పురస్కరించుకొని మిణుగురులు చిత్రాన్ని ప్రత్యేకంగా హైదరాబాద్ ప్రసాద్ ల్యాబ్ లో ప్రదర్శించారు. ఈ చిత్రాన్ని హీరోయిన్ శ్రియా సరన్ పలువురు అంధవిద్యార్థులతో కలిసి వీక్షించింది. సినిమా పూర్తయిన తర్వాత వారితో చాలాసేపు సరదాగా ముచ్చటించింది.
ఈ సందర్భంగా శ్రియా మాట్లాడుతూ…. ‘నేను ఢిల్లీలోని డిపిఎస్ స్కూల్లో చదువుతున్నప్పుడు అక్కడ ఓ అంధుల పాఠశాల ఉండేది. ప్రతీ వారం నేను ఆ స్కూల్ కి వెళ్లి పిల్లలతో కలిసి క్రికెట్ ఆడుకునేదాన్ని. అప్పటినుంచే నాకు విజువల్లీ ఛాలెంజ్ డ్ పిల్లల గురించి ఆలోచించడం మొదలుపెట్టాను. నాకు వీలైనంత వరకు వారికోసం సమయం కేటాయిస్తుంటాను. కల్మశం లేని మనస్తత్వం వారికుంటుంది. అద్భుతమైన ప్రతిభ వారిలో ఉంది. మిణుగురులు సినిమాను అయోధ్యకుమార్ అద్భుతంగా తెరకెక్కించారు. అంధుల సమస్యలను కళ్లకు కట్టినట్టు చూపించారు. ఇలాంటి చిత్రాల్ని ప్రోత్సహించాలి’. అని అన్నారు.
