Officially announced last July on the occasion of leading man Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday, Aakasam Lo Oka Tara (ALOT), written and directed by Pavan Sadineni, has been in development for over a year. The makers initially planned to take it to floors last November but with Dulquer occupied with Kaantha, the plan had to be deferred. We now hear that the actor has allocated dates for the project from February.
A source close to the unit tells us, “The principal photography of A LOT will kick off from February 5 in Hyderabad. Dulquer will be completely devoted to this film until the time he wraps it up. Pavan is known for his speed and given the time he and his team spent on the pre-production, it shouldn’t be a surprise if he completes it before the onset of monsoon.”
While initially the makers considered Sai Pallavi opposite Dulquer, the source goes on to add that she may not be a part of the project due to scheduling conflicts, with the makers now on the lookout for a new girl. There’s change in music composer as well. Vishal Chandrasekhar was tipped to compose the music but his tight itinerary meant that GV Prakash has stepped in. This will be GV’s second successive Telugu film with Dulquer after the super hit Lucky Baskhar.
A LOT, an aspirational drama, is a production venture of Sandeep Gunnam and Ramya Gunnam with industry heavyweights like Geetha Arts and Swapna Cinema serving as presenters.
