After the first thunder of #BoyapatiRAPO, Monday also saw another first glimpse come out. It was from heavyweight production houses Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios. Starring Panja Vaisshnav Tej, the makers also disclosed the film’s title as Adikeshava. It marks the directorial debut of Srikanth N Reddy.
The forty seven seconds glimpse opens with a cluster of men trying to enter a Lord Shiva temple and demolish it as a part of expanding their boss’ (played by Sampath) quarry. The temple priest is strictly against it. “If Lord Shiva gets angry, it doesn’t bode well for the village,” he grimaces. But the men are hell bent on implementing their boss’ diktat. As they are about to blow it to smithereens, Rudra Kaleshwar Reddy (Vaisshnav) enters, takes on them and defeats them. If the teaser is any indicator, the film seems to give Vaisshnav, who so far played boy-next-door roles, an action makeover.
Also featuring Sreeleela, Joju George, Aparna Das, the film, a GV Prakash musical, sails into cinemas this July.
