The pre-release event of Prabhas-starrer Adipurush on Tuesday in Tirupati saw the film’s makers dropping another trailer of the film in the run up to the release.

Playing out over two minutes and 24 seconds, the trailer cuts to the chase straightaway as it begins with Lankesh (played by Saif Ali Khan), disguised as a Sadhu, abducting Janaki (Kriti Sanon) from the forest. The great eagle Jatayu comes down swooping on Lankesh to rescue her but his wings are chopped off by the more powerful demon king. The next part of the trailer, whose run time is lesser compared to the one the makers dropped last month, focuses on Raghava (Prabhas) issuing a warning to Lankesh in his booming voice, him mobilizing Vanara forces, motivating them to take on the mighty Lanka Rakshasa sena and his epic face off with Lankesh, which is shown in a fleeting glimpse. There’s also a shot of Bajrangi pleading Janaki to come with him, while she says, ‘I will come back with Raghava alone’. The final part of the trailer shows an enraged Raghava, stretching his bow with an attentive mind, hurling his most potent weapon Brahmastra (probably towards Lankesh).

A cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana, Adipurush, set 7,000 years ago, is a joint production venture between Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair. Directed by Om Raut, it blazes into cinemas on June 16. People Media Factory is releasing the film in Telugu.
