Hyderabad: Agadha, written and directed by M.S. Raju and produced by Kashi Visalakshi Balusu under the Sri Adi Varaha Productions banner, presented by Ajay KR, is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on August 14. The film features Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Shravan Reddy, Ulka Gupta, Jovika Vijay Kumar, Bhanu Chander, Siju, Vanitha Vijay Kumar, Roshan Basheer, Shreya Rani Reddy, Viva Raghava, Robert Master, Arna Muller and Kanakavva in key roles.

A grand pre-release event was held on Monday, attended by prominent producer Shyam Prasad Reddy, veteran director B. Gopal, Sai Rajesh and SKN as chief guests.

Speaking at the event, producer Shyam Prasad Reddy said:
“Honey (M.S. Raju) is a very close friend of mine. Our journey began 45 years ago. My father and his father were both producers, and we grew up in the film industry. From a young age, we both wanted to make films. Both of us began our journeys with Kodi Ramakrishna garu.
“I have been observing M.S. Raju garu since 1985-86. He is a passionate producer who has mastered every craft and has become a trendsetter in his own right. He has produced films across various genres and created several wonders with love stories. He used to deliver a film every Sankranti, and almost all of them went on to become blockbuster hits. That is why he was popularly called the ‘Sankranti Raju,’ the ‘Unbeatable Raju’ and the ‘Invincible Raju.’

“That Raju is now coming with Agadha. The visuals by Nani and editing by Junaid are outstanding. A film like this needs to be experienced on the big screen. I say this with the confidence I have in Raju — Agadha will not be just another horror film.

“Every artist in the film seems perfectly suited to their role. When I look at Kamakshi, I get the same feeling I had when I first saw Anushka during the time of Arundhati. I wish the entire team the very best.”

M.S. Raju said:
“Everyone has seen the teaser and trailer of Agadha, so there is not much more for me to say. I thank everyone who supported me throughout this journey, especially Kashi Visalakshi garu and Ajay garu.

“We will hold the success meet on August 15. A cricket match becomes interesting when a team needs 24 runs in the last over. But I have made Agadha like a super over. The technical team and the artistes have competed with each other and delivered their best.

“I have known Agadha right from the writing stage. I was part of Raju garu’s story discussions, although he never revealed the climax to me. His screenwriting is on another level.

ప్రముఖ నిర్మాత శ్యాం ప్రసాద్ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘నాకు హనీ (ఎం.ఎస్. రాజు) మంచి స్నేహితుడు. 45 ఏళ్ల క్రితం మా జర్నీ మొదలైంది. మా నాన్న, వాళ్ల నాన్న నిర్మాతలే. ఇద్దరం సినిమా ఇండస్ట్రీలోనే పెరిగాం. సినిమాలే తీయాలని చిన్నప్పటి నుంచీ అనుకున్నాం. ఇద్దరం కోడి రామకృష్ణ గారితోనే జర్నీ ప్రారంభించాం. 1985, 1986 నుంచి ఎం.ఎస్. రాజు గారిని గమనిస్తూనే ఉన్నాను. ఆయన ప్యాషనేట్ ప్రొడ్యూసర్. ప్రతీ క్రాఫ్ట్ మీద గ్రిప్‌ను సాధించారు. ఆయనకు ఆయనే ట్రెండ్ సెటర్‌గా మారారు. అన్ని రకాల చిత్రాల్ని ఆయన నిర్మించారు. లవ్ సబ్జెక్ట్‌లతో ఆయన ఎన్నో వండర్స్ క్రియేట్ చేశారు. ప్రతీ సంక్రాంతికి సినిమా ఇచ్చాడు. అన్నీ కూడా బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ హిట్లు అయ్యాయి. అందుకే అప్పట్లో సంక్రాంతి రాజు, తిరుగులేని రాజు, ఎదురులేని రాజు అని అనేవారు. అలాంటి రాజు ఇప్పుడు ‘అగధ’ సినిమాతో వస్తున్నారు. ఇందులో నాని విజువల్స్, జునైద్ ఎడిటింగ్ అద్భుతంగా అనిపించింది. ఇలాంటి మూవీని థియేటర్లోనే చూసి ఎక్స్‌పీరియెన్స్ పొందాలి. రాజు మీదున్న నమ్మకంతో చెబుతున్నా.. ఇది కేవలం హారర్ మూవీలా మాత్రమే ఉండదు. ఆర్టిస్టుల్లో ప్రతీ ఒక్కరూ పర్ ఫెక్ట్‌గా సెట్ అయ్యారు. ‘అరుంధతి’ టైంలో అనుష్కని చూసినప్పుడు కలిగిన ఫీలింగ్ ఇప్పుడు కామాక్షిని చూస్తే కలుగుతోంది. అందరికీ గుడ్ లక్’ అని అన్నారు.

ఎం.ఎస్. రాజు మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘అగధ’ టీజర్, ట్రైలర్ అందరూ చూశారు. నేను చెప్పడానికి ఇంకా ఏమీ లేదు. నాకు ఈ జర్నీలో సపోర్ట్ చేసిన ప్రతీ ఒక్కరికీ థాంక్స్. మరీ ముఖ్యంగా కాశీ విశాలాక్షి గారికి, అజయ్ గారికి ధన్యవాదాలు. ఆగస్ట్ 15న సక్సెస్ మీట్ నిర్వహిస్తాం. లాస్ట్ ఓవర్‌లో 24 రన్స్ కొట్టాలంటే ఆ మ్యాచ్ ఇంట్రెస్టింగ్‌గా ఉంటుంది. కానీ నేను సూపర్ ఓవర్‌లా సినిమాని తీశాను. ‘అగధ’లో టెక్నికల్ టీం, ఆర్టిస్టుల టీం కలిసి పోటాపోటీగా చేశారు. ఈ చిత్రం బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ అవుతుందని నా మనసు చెబుతోంది. అమ్మవారి ఆశీర్వాదంతో సినిమా విజయం సాధిస్తుందని నమ్ముతున్నాను. మా విశాలాక్షి గారికి, అజయ్ గారికి చాలా డబ్బు రావాలని, అందులో నాకు షేర్ ఇవ్వాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.

సాయి రాజేష్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘రాజు గారి వద్ద నేను రెండేళ్లు అసిస్టెంట్ డైరెక్టర్‌గా పని చేశాను. సుమంత్ ఆర్ట్ ప్రొడక్షన్స్ ఆఫీస్‌లో కూర్చుని ఎన్నో నేర్చుకున్నాను. రాజు గారి వద్ద నేను స్క్రీన్ ప్లే రైటింగ్ అద్భుతంగా నేర్చుకున్నాను. జయాపజయాలకు ఆయన అతీతులు. రాజు గారికి సినిమా అంటే ఎంతో ప్యాషన్. ‘ఆరిజిన్ ఆఫ్ అగధ’, ‘అగధ’ ట్రైలర్ చూశాను. నాకు చాలా నచ్చాయి. రాజు గారు నిజంగా కింగ్ మేకర్. ఈ చిత్రం పెద్ద హిట్ అవ్వాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.

ఎస్‌కేఎన్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘రాజు గారి సినిమాకి గెస్ట్ రావడమే నాకు గొప్ప అచ్ఛీవ్‌మెంట్. పోస్టర్ మీద రాజు గారి పేరు, శ్యాం ప్రసాద్ రెడ్డి గారి పేరు ఉంటే సినిమాని చూసేవాళ్లం. రాజు గారు అందరిలో ‘ఒక్కడు’. రాజు గారు తీస్తే కాసుల ‘వర్షం’. ఆయనకి తెలియని ‘ఆట’ లేదు. ఆయన దర్శకుడిగా వచ్చి సక్సెస్ కొడతాను అంటే మేమోద్దంటామా. ఆయన ‘పోలీస్ లాకప్’ తీశారు. కానీ ఆయన మన గుండెల్లో లాక్ అయ్యారు. అప్పట్లో ‘దేవి’ సినిమా టికెట్లు దొరకడానికి పది రోజులు పట్టింది. ఆయన ప్రతీ సంక్రాంతికి వచ్చి హిట్లు కొట్టారు. అలాంటి రాజు గారు ‘అగధ’తో వస్తున్నారు. టీజర్, ట్రైలర్ నాకు చాలా నచ్చాయి. హారర్‌తో పాటు మిగతా అంశాలు కూడా ఇందులో ఉన్నాయనిపిస్తోంది. మంచి కంటెంట్ ఇస్తే ఆడియెన్స్ తప్పకుండా థియేటర్‌కి వచ్చి ఆదరిస్తారు. కామాక్షి గారు కారెక్టర్ లెంగ్త్ కాకుండా.. అందులోని లెంగ్త్ చూస్తారు. శ్రవణ్ అద్భుతంగా అనిపించాడు. ‘అగధ’లో నటించిన అందరికీ ఆల్ ది బెస్ట్. ఫస్ట్ సినిమాతోనే కాశీ విశాలాక్షి గారు, అజయ్ గారు ఓ డేరింగ్ స్టెప్ వేశారు. ‘అగధ’తో రాజు గారు హిట్ కొట్టాలి. రాజు ఎక్కడున్నా రాజే అన్నట్టు.. ఆయన.. నిర్మాతగా వచ్చినా రాజే.. దర్శకుడిగా వచ్చినా రాజే.. ‘అగధ’ అద్భుతమైన విజయం సాధించాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.

సీనియర్ దర్శకులు బి. గోపాల్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘రాజు గారు, శ్యాం ప్రసాద్ గారు ఇద్దరూ మంచి మిత్రులు. నిర్మాతల్లో నాకు వారిద్దరూ ఇష్టం. ‘సమరసింహారెడ్డి’ కథ విని బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ అవుతుందని రాజు గారు అన్నారు. కథ మీద ఆయనకు మంచి జడ్జ్‌మెంట్ ఉంటుంది. మేం ఇద్దరం కలిసి ‘మస్కా’ మూవీని చేశాం. రాజు గారు దమ్మున్న నిర్మాత. ఆయనలో గొప్ప రైటర్ ఉన్నారు. ఇప్పుడు ‘అగధ’తో రాజు గారు మరోసారి విజయాన్ని సాధించబోతోన్నారు. టీజర్, ట్రైలర్ బాగున్నాయి. ఇలాంటి సినిమాని థియేటర్లోనే చూడాలి. అందరికీ ఆల్ ది బెస్ట్’ అని అన్నారు.

పొలిమేర డైరెక్టర్ అనిల్ విశ్వనాథ్ మాట్లాడుతూ ..‘‘అగధ’ నాకు రైటింగ్ లెవెల్ నుంచీ తెలుసు. రాజు గారి కథా చర్చల్లో నేను ఉన్నాను. కానీ నాకు క్లైమాక్స్ చెప్పలేదు. ఆయన స్క్రీన్ ప్లే రైటింగ్ నెక్ట్స్ లెవెల్లో ఉంటుంది. గత నెలలోనే ‘అగధ’ చిత్రాన్ని చూశాను. ఒక రేంజ్‌లో ఉంది. ఆ క్లైమాక్స్ చూసి అంతా సర్ ప్రైజ్, షాక్ అవుతారు. ఆ క్లైమాక్స్ చాలా ఫ్యూచరిస్టిక్‌గా అనిపించింది. రాజు గారు తీసిన క్లాసిక్ సినిమాలు మాకు పాఠాలు. కామాక్షి నటనను ఇది వరకు చాలా సార్లు చూశాం. ఆమె ఇంత వరకు పావుగంట, అర్దగంట నిడివి ఉన్న పాత్రలే వచ్చాయి. ఆ పాత్రలతోనే అవార్డ్ కూడా సాధించింది. ‘అగధ’లో స్టార్టింగ్ నుంచి ఎండింగ్ వరకు కామాక్షి అదరగొట్టేసింది. శ్రవణ్ అందరిపై ఇంపాక్ట్ క్రియేట్ చేస్తాడు. జోవిక నెక్ట్స్ లెవెల్. ప్రతీ ఒక్క ఆర్టిస్ట్ అద్భుతంగా నటించారు. కథ విన్నప్పటి కంటే సినిమా చూశాక విజువల్స్ పది రెట్లు అనిపించింది. రాకేష్ మ్యూజిక్ గొప్పగా అనిపించింది. నాక్కూడా ఈ టీంతో పని చేయాలని అనిపిస్తోంది. ‘అగధ’ గురించి గొప్పగా చెప్పుకుంటారు. ఆగస్ట్ 14న అందరూ థియేటర్లో ఈ సినిమాని చూడండి’ అని అన్నారు.

నిర్మాత లగడపాటి శ్రీధర్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘నిర్మాతల్లో నాకు రాజు గారు, శ్యాం ప్రసాద్ రెడ్డి గారు అంటే చాలా ఇష్టం. ‘అగధ’తో రాజు గారు కమ్ బ్యాక్ అవుతారు. ‘అగధ’ కల్ట్ క్లాసిక్ అవ్వాలి. కామాక్షి గారు, శ్రవణ్ గారు, భాను చందర్ గారు ఇలా అందరినీ ఇక్కడ చూస్తుండటం ఆనందంగా ఉంది. ‘అగధ’ పెద్ద విజయం సాధించాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.

కామాక్షి భాస్కర్ల మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘అగధ’ జర్నీలో ఎంతో మంది నుంచి ఎంతో నేర్చుకున్నాను. నేను 9 ఏళ్ల క్రితం ఇండియాకి వచ్చాను. ఇప్పుడు నాకు ‘అగధ’లాంటి అద్భుతమైన చిత్రం దొరికింది. తెలుగు ఇండస్ట్రీలో తెలుగమ్మాయిలకు అవకాశాలు రావడం చాలా అరుదు. ఇలాంటి టైంలో నాకు ఫీమేల్ లీడ్‌గా, సెంటర్ కారెక్టర్ ఇచ్చి, నన్ను నమ్మినందుకు ఎప్పుడూ రుణపడి ఉంటాను. నా కోసం నా ఫ్యామిలీ ఎన్నో త్యాగాలు చేసింది. ఎలాంటి నేపథ్యం లేకుండా ఇక్కడి వరకు రావడం కూడా ఓ విజయమే. ఇంకో పదేళ్లు ఇండస్ట్రీలో ఉన్నా కూడా రాజు గారి గురించి చెప్తాను. రాజు గారే నా కెరీర్‌కి పునాది వేశారని గర్వంగా చెప్పుకుంటాను. మేం కష్టపడి, ఇష్టపడి ఈ మూవీని చేశాం. అదే ప్రేమను ఆడియెన్స్ తిరిగి ఇస్తారని ఆశిస్తున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.

శ్రవణ్ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘హిందీలో నా జర్నీ ప్రారంభమైంది. వెబ్ సిరీస్‌లో నన్ను చూసి ‘డర్టీ హరి’కి రాజు గారు తీసుకున్నారు. మళ్లీ ఇప్పుడు ‘అగధ’లో ఛాన్స్ ఇచ్చారు. విజువల్ ట్రీట్ ఇచ్చేలా ఈ మూవీని తెరకెక్కించారు. ఎన్నో లేయర్లు ఉన్న కారెక్టర్‌ని నాకు ఇచ్చారు. ఇంత మంచి అవకాశం ఇచ్చిన రాజు గారికి థాంక్స్. లాంగ్ వీకెండ్ రాబోతోంది. మా మూవీని అందరూ చూసి సక్సెస్ చేస్తారని ఆశిస్తున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.

నటుడు గగన్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘నిర్మాతగా రాజు గారు ఎన్నో గొప్ప చిత్రాల్ని అందించారు. దర్శకుడిగానూ ఇప్పుడు ఆయన మార్క్ వేస్తున్నారు. ‘అగధ’ పెద్ద హిట్ అవ్వాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను. ‘అగధ’తో శ్రవణ్‌కి మంచి బ్రేక్ రావాలి. కామాక్షి గారికి సపరేట్ క్రేజ్ ఏర్పడింది. కాశీ విశాలాక్షి గారు, అజయ్ గారు మంచి వ్యక్తులు. అందరికీ ఆల్ ది బెస్ట్’ అని అన్నారు.

నిర్మాత కాశీ విశాలాక్షి బలుసు మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘అగధ’ సినీ ప్రయాణంలో మాకు తోడుగా నిలిచిన రాజు గారికి, మూవీ టీంకి థాంక్స్. ‘అగధ’ టీజర్, ట్రైలర్‌కు మంచి రెస్పాన్స్ వచ్చింది. ఆగస్ట్ 14న విడుదల కాబోతోన్న మా ‘అగధ’ కూడా మంచి విజయాన్ని సాధిస్తుందని నమ్ముతున్నాను. ఇకపై రాజు గారు ‘అగధ’ రాజు అవుతారు. ఆయన సెట్‌లో ఎంతో కష్టపడ్డారు. ఆయన కష్టాన్ని చూసిన తర్వాతే ‘అగధ’ హిట్ అవుతుందని ఫిక్స్ అయ్యాను’ అని అన్నారు.

నటి జోవికా విజయ్ కుమార్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘అగధ’లో నటించడం ఆనందంగా ఉంది. ఆగస్ట్ 14న మా సినిమాని చూసి మా అందరినీ సపోర్ట్ చేయాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.

నటుడు షిజు మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘రాజు గారి నుంచి 1996లో కాల్ వచ్చింది. హీరోగా ఓ సినిమా చేయాలని రాజు గారు అన్నారు. అప్పుడు నాకు తెలుగు రాదని అన్నాను. పర్లేదు కోడి రామకృష్ణ గారిని కలవమని ఆయన చెప్పారు. మూడేళ్లు కష్టపడి ‘దేవి’ మూవీని చేశాం. రాజు గారి జర్నీ నాకు తెలుసు. ‘దేవి’తో మా కెరీర్ మారిపోయింది. మళ్లీ రెండేళ్ల తర్వాత ‘మనసంతా నువ్వే’లో అవకాశం ఇచ్చారు. మళ్లీ ఇన్నాళ్లకి ‘అగధ’లో అవకాశం ఇచ్చారు. తెలుగులో రాజు గారు నాకు గాడ్ ఫాదర్ లాంటి వారు. ‘అగధ’ పెద్ద హిట్ అవుతుందని నమ్ముతున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.

నటి వనితా విజయ్ కుమార్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘దేవి’లో నన్ను పాము కరిచే సీన్ ఉంటుంది. నేను నాగదేవతని, అమ్మ వారిని నమ్మి ఆ సీన్ చేశాను. ఆ టైంలో అమ్మ వారే నన్ను కాపాడారు. ‘అగధ’లోనూ అలాంటి గొప్ప సీన్స్ ఉన్నాయి. ‘అగధ’ను అందరూ చూడాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.

నటుడు భాను చందర్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘అగధ’ చిత్రంతో రాజు గారు టాప్ ప్లేస్‌కి వెళ్లాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను. గుడ్ అండ్ ఈవిల్ మధ్య జరిగే కథే ‘అగధ’. ఇలాంటి సినిమాని థియేటర్లో చూస్తేనే ఆ థ్రిల్ వస్తుంది. రాజు గారి సినీ కెరీర్‌లో ‘అగధ’ మైలు రాయిలా నిలిచిపోతుంది’ అని అన్నారు.

*సంగీత దర్శకుడు రాకేష్ వెంకటాపురం మాట్లాడుతూ* .. ‘‘అగధ’తో నా కల నెరవేరింది. రాజు గారితో పని చేయడం నా అదృష్టం. ‘అగధ’ అందరినీ అలరిస్తుంది’ అని అన్నారు.

ఎడిటర్ జునైద్ సిద్ధిఖీ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘పదేళ్లకు ఒకసారి ‘అగధ’ లాంటి చిత్రం వస్తుంది. రాకేష్ మ్యూజిక్ గురించి అందరూ మాట్లాడుకుంటారు. చైతన్య వేగి వర్క్ అందరికీ నచ్చుతుంది. సినిమా అందరినీ ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది’ అని అన్నారు.

అడిషనల్ స్క్రీన్ ప్లే రైటర్ చైతన్య వేగి మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘ఎం.ఎస్. రాజు లాంటి లెజెండరీ పర్సన్‌తో పని చేయడం ఆనందంగా ఉంది. ‘అగధ’ తర్వాత మా టీం చేసిన పనితనం గురించి అందరూ గొప్పగా మాట్లాడుకుంటారని నమ్మకంగా చెప్పగలను’ అని అన్నారు.

ప్రొడక్షన్ డిజైనర్ రాజీవ్ నాయర్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘రాజు గారితో ‘ఒక్కడు’, ‘వాన’ సినిమాలకు పని చేశాను. మళ్లీ ఇప్పుడు ‘అగధ’కు పని చేశాను. ఈ చిత్రం గొప్ప విజయం సాధిస్తుందనే నమ్మకం ఉంది’ అని అన్నారు.

కెమెరామెన్ నాని చమిడిశెట్టి మాట్లాడుతూ.. ‘‘అగధ’ చిత్రానికి అవకాశం ఇచ్చిన ఎంఎస్ రాజు గారికి, కాశీ విశాలాక్షి గారికి, అజయ్ గారికి థాంక్స్’ అని అన్నారు.

ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ ప్రొడ్యూసర్ ఎన్ వి ఎన్ సుబ్బరాజు మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘అగధ’ సినిమాని విజయవంతంగా పూర్తి చేసినందుకు ఆనందంగా ఉంది. మా చిత్రం అందరినీ ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది’ అని అన్నారు.

ఉల్కా గుప్తా మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘అగధ’ కోసం నేను ఎంతో ఆత్రుతగా ఎదురుచూస్తున్నాను. ఆగస్ట్ 14న మా సినిమాని అందరూ చూడండి’ అని అన్నారు.

నటి ఆర్నా మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘అగధ’లో నేను కామాక్షి గారికి చెల్లిగా నటించాను. ఇంత మంచి పాత్రను ఇచ్చిన అందరికీ థాంక్స్. ఆగస్ట్ 14న రాబోతోన్న మా సినిమా అందరినీ ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది’ అని అన్నారు.

నటుడు రోషన్ బషీర్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘‘అగధ’లో నటించడం ఆనందంగా ఉంది. సెట్‌లో అందరం కలిసి సరదాగా షూట్ చేశాం. రిలీజ్ కోసం ఆసక్తిగా ఎదురు చూస్తున్నా’ అని అన్నారు.
