The trailer of BV Nandini Reddy’s next, Anni Manchi Sakunamule, fronted by Santosh Sobhan and Malavika Nair, was released by young tiger Jr NTR on Twitter on Friday. Dropping the link, the RRR actor wrote, “Happy to share the trailer of #AnniManchiSakunamule! All the best to my dear friend Swapna who pours her heart into making new and creative stories and Priyanka and Nandini Garu for bringing this refreshing story to life. Running over two minutes and seven seconds, the trailer introduces Santosh Sobhan as a free-spirited youngster who believes in living life to the fullest, and is on a European tour. He is smitten by Arya (Malavika Nair) since childhood. She is a lady who likes to have things under her control. While the trailer offers very little to decipher the conflict that drives the narrative forward, it, however, paints that it’s an emotional family drama given the numbers of senior characters (Rajendra Prasad, Naresh, Gauthami, Sowcar Janaki, Rao Ramesh, Vasuki and Urvasi) that flit in and out of it, sporting weighty looks. It’s also dotted with humourous visuals. The production values are rich and the visuals are fresh. Overall, it promises to be one cool family entertainer this summer.
Produced by Swapna Cinema and Mitra Vinda Movies, the film, a Mickey J Meyer musical, opens in cinemas next Thursday.
