Ranbir Kapoor-starrer blood-soaked drama, Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, continued its box office dominance on day 6, while breaching the coveted Rs 500 mark.
After taking a thunderous start in the first weekend (Rs 356 crore gross), the film remained steady in the weekdays as well with extremely positive word-of-mouth helping its cause.
The film’s overall gross collections now stand at a whopping Rs 527.6 cr gross, indicating the box office rage it has become. Production house T-Series on X wrote that the film had the biggest non-holiday Wednesday ever, collecting a nett of Rs 27.8 cr.
In North America, where it had a massive release, Animal continued its mighty roar. The film has minted $ 8.6 million so far and is showing no signs of fatigue.
On the other hand, T-Series, keeping the buzz afloat, on Wednesday dropped the full track of Bobby Deol's entry song, Jamal Kudu, which many X users pointed out was playing in their head on loop.
A joint production venture between Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Pranay Reddy Vanga, Animal focuses on a strained father-son relationship dynamic set against the backdrop of crime and the underworld. It also features Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri in significant roles.
