Among the 4 Dada Saheb Awardees who turn 100 this year- Raj Kapoor, ANR, Mohd Rafi and Tapan Sinha, only Akkineni Nageswara Rao saved negatives/prints of his movies at his own cost in those days at NFDC. He believed that film is forever and should be available for generations to come. With this in his mind he stored his films content that has been restored and is being shown to audience of today. His foresight was immense. The films of Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor are not available today as prints and negatives were never available.

Annapurna Studios, in collaboration with the Film Heritage Foundation and PVR Inox, is celebrating the birth anniversary of the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) by re-releasing 10 of his classic films.
