Sri Akkineni Nageswara Rao always came forward to support at times of need. He encouraged civil society to contribute and stand by people especially during natural calamities.

Fifty Lakh Rupees each are donated to the Chief Ministers Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

"We stand with the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in this crisis. The scenes on ground are heart-wrenching. We pray that immediate relief reaches the affected people and are sure the Governments will ensure speedy recovery.”

The donation is made by Alufloride Ltd., Visakhapatnam and Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad, group companies of the Akkineni family.

వరద బాధితులని ఆదుకునేందుకు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రుల సహాయ నిధికి చెరో యాభై లక్షల రూపాయలను విరాళంగా అందిస్తున్నాం.

"ఈ సంక్షోభంలో ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, తెలంగాణ ప్రజలకు అండగా నిలుస్తాము. వరద దృశ్యాలు హృదయ విదారకంగా ఉన్నాయి. ప్రజలకు తక్షణ సహాయం చేరాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాం. బాధిత ప్రజలు త్వరగా కోలుకోవాలని ప్రార్ధిస్తున్నాం'
