In a remarkable act of generosity, acclaimed Telugu actor Jr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) has donated ₹50 lakhs each to the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to assist in relief efforts for the victims affected by the recent floods and heavy rains. This noble gesture comes as both states grapple with the devastating impact of the severe weather conditions that have displaced thousands and caused extensive damage to infrastructure and livelihoods.
He tweeted - "The devastating floods caused by the recent heavy rains in the two Telugu states have deeply saddened me. I pray to God that the people of the Telugu states recover from this disaster as quickly as possible.
As my contribution towards the relief efforts, I am announcing a donation of ₹50 lakhs each to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund of both the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments to support the measures they are taking to alleviate the impact of the floods."
