More than a week after leading production house UV Creations vacated the August 4th slot for Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty due to “some delays in post production work”, another in-the-news film seems to be meeting the same fate two weeks from now.
The film in question is Aadi Kesava featuring Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Sree Leela in the lead roles. While details about the postponement are in short supply, the fact that Sithara Entertainments hasn’t flagged off promotions means one can assume that the film, directed by debutant Srikanth N Reddy, will not be making it on August 18.
Had Aadi Kesava arrived on August 18, it would’ve locked horns with Sreekanth Addala’s Peda Kapu 1 but as things stand now, the former, which has garnered a great deal of buzz, courtesy its title and impressive promotional material, seems to be running late as well. Delay in post-production is cited as the reason and clarity to this end will emerge in a couple of days. Peda Kapu 1 features fresh faces Virat Karrna and Pragathi Srivasthava in the lead roles, while Rao Ramesh, Naga Babu, Tanikella Bharani, Brigada Saga, Rajeev Kanakala, Anasuya, Eeshwari Rao and Naren round out the supporting cast.
With both Aadi Kesava and Peda Kapu 1 more or less out of the race, its advantage Ryan Sohel now as his Mister Pregnant, co-starring Roopa Kodayur, will be released on August 18. King Nagarjuna will be launching the film’s trailer tomorrow. With his first couple of films biting the dust, Sohel has pinned a lot of hopes on Mister Pregnant to give his career a fillip.
