Actor Vijay Antony, who rose to fame among Telugu audiences with Bichagadu, has earned a solid reputation for delivering content-driven films with a minimum guarantee. Even his recent release Margazhi performed well at the box office. Now, he returns as both actor and producer with his 25th film, Bhadrakaali - a film that seems to promise an intense and gripping narrative.
The trailer builds intrigue from start to finish and hints at a politically charged storyline. The plot appears to revolve around themes like corruption, economic exploitation, institutional apathy, poverty, and politics. Vijay Antony delivers some powerful lines, like: “Here, nobody cares if you’re hungry. You have to snatch what you need. Should the one who did wrong be afraid? Or the one who lost everything?”
These dialogues suggest that he might be playing a character that takes from the powerful to help the powerless - but his exact role is deliberately kept under wraps. Another striking line - “In a democracy, those at the top should fear those at the bottom”- captures the film’s bold tone and theme of social justice.
Directed by Arun Prabhu, who made a mark with the acclaimed Aruvi, the film stars Truphti Ravindra alongside Vijay Antony. Adding another layer of involvement, Vijay Antony has also composed the film’s music. The film is produced by Ram Anjaneyulu Javvaji.
Bhadrakaali is being released in Telugu by Asian Suresh Entertainment and Sravanthi Ram Creations, and is all set to hit screens on September 19.

"ఇక్కడ ఆకలి ఆకలి అంటే ఎవ్వరూ పెట్టరు, లాక్కోవాలి. తప్పు చేసినోడు భయపడాలా నష్టపోయిన వాడు భయపడాలా" అంటూ విజయ్ ఆంటోనీ చెప్పిన డైలాగ్స్ వింటుంటే బహుశా ఇందులో అతనిది 'పెద్దోళ్ళను కొట్టి పేదోళ్లకు పెట్టు' అని ప్రయాణించే పాత్ర మాదిరే కనిపిస్తుంది. కానీ అతని పాత్ర ఏంటో అన్నది మాత్రం సస్పెన్స్ గానే ఉంచారు ట్రైలర్ లో. The #Bhadrakaali trailer sets the tone for a neo-political thriller centered around the theme of fighting corruption. Interestingly, Vijay Antony’s character makes his entry only in the second half of the trailer, adding to the intrigue.
