The trailer of Karthikeya-starrer Bhaje Vaayu Vegam was released by the makers at an event in Hyderabad on Saturday and it is stuffed with high-octane action, gun battles and father-son emotion.
A little over two minutes, the trailer opens with Hyderabad city cops issuing an alert to nab a man who has escaped with a huge stash of cash. Soon, the party which lost the amount discovers the culprit to be Venkat (Karthikeya), our protagonist. In flashbacks, it is revealed that Venkat is an ace local cricketer. Wonder why he has escaped with the bag full of money? There’s a reason. His dad (Tanikella Bharani) is in a hospital battling for life. If he isn’t operated on in the next 24 hours, he will breathe his last. There’s simultaneously another track where Venkat owes Rs 40 lakhs to a ruffian. Cornered from everywhere, he decides to steal the stash of cash. Will he be able to save his father seems to form the crux of the story.
Rounding up, the trailer, with slick cuts, rich production values and pulsating score, promises a fast-paced thriller. Fierce and brave, Karthikeya plays a role, who will risk his life to save his father, while engaging in power-packed stunts, with Rahul Tyson of Happy Days fame giving him the company. There are other players like Iswarya Menon, Ravi Shankar and Sarath Lohitswa who leave their mark.
Produced by UV Concepts and presented by UV Creations, the film marks the directorial debut of Prashanth Reddy, while Radhan has composed the soundtrack. It vrooms into theatres on May 31st.
#BhajeVaayuVegam trailer has interesting elements. It’s a crime action thriller with family emotions.
A part of it reminds me of Julayi. And the last dialogue is reminiscent of step brothers episode from Chatrapathi.
