After three super hits in a row, Rahul Yadav Nakka is now producing Brahma Anandam with comedy king Brahmanandam and his son Raja Goutham in the lead roles. With Rahul backing the project under his Swadharm Entertainment, obviously there’s a great deal of attention around it in the trade and the recently released glimpse has only enhanced its reputation further.

Our sources tell us that even before Brahma Anandam has wrapped up its shooting formalities, its Telugu states theatrical rights have been sold. Vamsi Nandipati, who recently struck gold with Niharika Konidela’s production venture, Committee Kurrollu, has bagged the rights. “The deal was closed at Rs 9.9 cr for the Telugu states. Rahul’s track record and the film’s genre made Vamsi get his hands on the rights. While Rahul announced the film for December 6, it will, however, not be releasing on that date, as Icon star Allu Arjun on Wednesday reiterated that his anticipated tent-pole Pushpa: The Rule will indeed vroom into cinemas on Dec 6. The new date will be announced soon,” a source close to the development confirmed to us.

Brahma Anandam, which marks the directorial debut of RVS Nikhil, is 55 percent over, with Rahul looking to wrap up the entire shoot by September-end. It is being made on a budget of Rs 12 crore. “The overseas, rest of India, digital and satellite rights are still with Rahul. He will be laughing all the way to the bank when all these deals get closed in view of the interest surrounding the project,” the source adds.

The likes of Vennela Kishore, Priya Vadlamani, Aishwarya Holakkal, Rajeev Kanakala and Sampath form the supporting roster of the film, while Sandilya Pisapati is scoring the music.
