Rebel star Prabhas on Monday unveiled the trailer of Bramha Anandam, fronted by Brahmanandam and Raja Goutham, and it promises a light-hearted entertainer with humour and drama in equal measure.
The trailer opens with Raja Goutham’s part drinking alone before it cuts to a conversation between Brahmanandam and Vennela Kishore where they discuss Goutham who lost his parents at a young age and has grown up alone. Goutham has become a selfish individual without his knowledge. A theatre actor with big dreams, he soon learns about a big theatre event in New Delhi which could change his fortunes. But he has to mobilize Rs 6 lakhs for it. Enter Brahmanandam into the scene and he promises the amount to Raja but there’s a hitch. Raja needs to act as his grandson, be compassionate towards others and should obey his orders. What changes following these steps bring about in him seem to form the crux of the story.
The over two-and-a-half minute trailer focuses on the dynamics of the relationship between Goutham and Brahmi and ends in a way that will change the persona of the former forever, while promising a delightful entertainer which is humourous and at the same time packs an emotional punch. What stands out in the trailer are the impactful performances of Brahmi and Vennela Kishore, fantastic with their emotive powers, reining in their acts where necessary. Together they bring humour and charm-- in only the way they can. Goutham too is a treat to watch as there is ease in the way he goes about his job and we only hope he lands more opportunities. The background score (by Sandilya Pisapati) is first-rate.
Also featuring Priya Vadlamani, Aishwarya Holakkal, Rajeev Kanakala, Sampath Raj, Raghu Babu, Prabhakar, Divija Prabhakar, and DayanandReddy in supporting roles, Brahma Anandam marks the directorial debut of RVS Nikhil, while Rahul Yadav Nakka of Swadharm Entertainment is the producer. It opens in cinemas on February 14th, 2025.
