#PKSDT anticipated combination film has got a title. Production houses People Media Factory and Zee Studios on Thursday disclosed the title as Bro. Speculations about the same have been doing the rounds for over a week. The makers also chose to reveal the first look and motion poster along with the title.
Beginning with an electrifying track Kaala thriguna samsesham by Thaman, the motion poster slowly unveils Pawan’s look. Dressed in complete black attire, he is seen cutting a chic pose with his arms stretched over. There’s a lot of emphasis on the ticking clock in the poster, indicating its connection to the role that Pawan plays in the film, a fantasy comedy.
Bro is the official remake of P Samuthirakani’s Vinodhaya Sitham. While the original’s run time was less than one hour 45 minutes, the remake extends beyond two hours, as Trivikram is believed to have given a complete new spin to the Telugu version. With Pawan headlining it, the makers have mounted it on a grand note with the inclusion of high-end computer graphics as well.
Vinodhaya Sitham, released in 2021, told the story of a self-obsessed man (played by Thambi Ramaiah)—also a control freak— who passes away in an unfortunate accident while on a business trip. At his request, “the time” (Samuthirakani) grants him an extension of 90 days to correct his ways. Ramaiah’s role has been tailored with Sai Tej stepping into his shoes, while Pawan is playing “the time”.
Having gone on to floors earlier this February, Pawan has wrapped up his talkie portions for Bro. However; it seems he is required for a song, which will be shot later this month in Hyderabad.
Also featuring Priya Prakash Varrier, Ketika Sharma, Brahmanandam, Tanikella Bharani, Rohini and Subbaraju and Raja Chembolu, Bro is slated to release on July 28. It will be Pawan’s first release of the year.
