The trailer of Vennela Kishore-fronted Chaari 111, where he plays a spy, was released by the makers on Monday and by the looks of it, a funny spy comedy is in the offing.

Spanning close to two-and-a-half minutes, the trailer opens with a voiceover of Murali Sharma stating that in 1992, India and Pakistan have entered into a joint agreement of not manufacturing chemical or biological weapons henceforth. The scene shifts to a secret agency Rudranetra and the task of appointing officers for the agency falls on the shoulders of Murali Sharma. We are later introduced to Chaari (Vennela Kishore) who doesn’t mix milk with missions. His expertise lies in solving a case violently that otherwise should be handled seriously. The scene cuts to a terrorist who is threatening to trigger bombs in various parts of the country in three days. Chari is tasked to nab him. What happens next?

While most spy dramas are grave in nature, this one seems opposite and that’s the biggest USP of the film. And with Vennela Kishore at the centre of things in a quirky characterization, with company from Thagubothu Ramesh, Satya and Brahmaji, we can expect a bagful of laughs. The production values are neat while the action seems to be intense and funny at the same time. Overall, the teaser is hilarious and rollicking.

Directed by TG Keerthi Kumar and produced by Aditi Soni under Barkat Studios, Chaari 111, also featuring Samyuktha Viswanathan, Rahul Ravindran, Pavani Reddy and Chaitanya sails into cinemas on March 1st.
