With Karthikeya 2, a mystery action-adventure, Chandoo Mondeti made the whole India sit up and take notice of explosive potential. No wonder, some big names cutting across industries expressed their interest to collaborate with him. Now we hear he has landed a crazy offer. According to our sources, he has got the nod of leading Tamil star Suriya, who has experimented with a variety of genres with eximious success, for a brand new project.

A source close to the development tells us exclusively, “Chandoo had a rendezvous with Suriya recently. The latter liked what the former did with Karthikeya 2. Taking the opportunity, Chandoo pitched a couple of ideas and the versatile actor was impressed with both of them. The project is locked, that’s for sure. In a couple of months, Suriya will decide on one of the two ideas and will also inform the director about his availability. If he is staring at a delay because of his commitments, Chandoo, with the consent of Suriya, wants to embark on another project before he comes back to Suriya.”

The source adds, “Geetha Arts will be producing this untitled project, which is set on a massive scale. It will be Chandoo’s biggest budgeted flick to date and will be a multilingual affair. For Geetha Arts, it will be their first straight association with Suriya –albeit they released the dubbed version of his Tamil monster hit Ghajini (2005) into Telugu.”

Suriya is right now filming for Siva’s Kanguva, which will go on until the end of this year. Then there is Vetrimaaran’s next. He also lined up another project with a director with whom he previously collaborated successfully. All in all, his film with Chandoo will mostly move to sets sometime next year.
