The trailer of Niharika Konidela’s production venture Committee Kurrollu was launched by Sidhu Jonnalagadda in Hyderabad on Friday and it deals with themes like friendship, differences and local politics, promising an emotional roller-coaster.

Spanning 2:46 minutes, the trailer opens with a fair in a village which happens once in 12 years. A character played by Goparaju Ramana says that the significant event of the fair is carrying the basket of sacrifice for Goddess Barinkalamma. It later cuts to three friends Subbu, Rambabu and William who are the lifeline of the story. They have a friend who is a merit student but he misses out on an engineering seat because he comes from an upper caste. The story takes a turn when serious differences crop up among the three friends, leading to a strife between two factions in the village. The fair is looming but there is panic in the village because of the friction that had taken place earlier. The friction has an effect on the local elections too. Will the fair and elections take place without any disturbances seems to form the gist of the story.

Overall, producer Niharika seems to have spared no expense with the making as the frames are rich for a film crammed with newcomers. Cinematographer Raju Edurolu captures the beauty of Konaseema to perfection, while director Yadhu Vamsi ensures that there’s a sense of action in every shot in spite of the film taking an emotional route in some parts. The bonhomie between the friends in the initial part can resonate with younger folks while the background score complements the different moods of the trailer well, enhancing its overall impact a notch higher. The performances by the lead cast are natural and the dialect adds a sense of authenticity.

The film’s cast includes Sandeep Saroj, Yashwant Pendyala, Trinath Verma, Prasad Behara, Ishwar Rachiraju, Manikantha Parasu, Lokesh Kumar Parimi, Shyam Kalyan, Raghuvaran, Sivakumar Matta, Akshay Srinivas, Sharanya Suresh, Tejaswi Rao, Vishika and Shanmuki Nagumanthri. Anudeep Dev is the music composer. The film sails into theatres on August 9th.
