Mass Ka Das Vishwaksen is set to surprise once again by venturing into an entirely unexplored space with his ambitious new project, #CULT. Known for constantly pushing boundaries and embracing unconventional storytelling, the actor-filmmaker takes complete creative ownership of this film by handling its story, screenplay, and direction. Produced by Sandeep Kakarala under the Tarak Cinemas banner, the film is positioned as India's first authentic slasher thriller. Draws inspiration from chilling real-life incidents to deliver a dark, unsettling, and edge-of-the-seat experience unlike anything mainstream Indian cinema has attempted before, the film generated strong buzz with its first glimpse, that introduced the premise.
Raising anticipation several notches higher, the makers have now dropped the film's first single- He Is My Dosthi. In the very beginning, Vishwaksen explains the essence of the song. Friendship is that unique bond where you can't always live with your friend, yet you can never imagine life without them. The song beautifully captures this emotion as a group of best buddies embark on their first trip to Goa. Their excitement, curiosity, and amazement at witnessing Goa's vibrant nightlife, foreign tourists, and carefree lifestyle add an energetic charm to the visuals.
Ravi Basrur delivers an electrifying composition packed with infectious energy, while Santhosh Venky's lyrics perfectly celebrate the spirit, warmth, and unbreakable bond of friendship. Karthik's trendy and vibrant vocals further elevate the track, making it an instant foot-tapper.
Visually, the song is a colorful celebration of Goa, showcasing not just its scenic beauty and lively atmosphere but also hinting at its darker underbelly.
