The teaser of Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty-starrer Custody, a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, directed by Venkat Prabhu, was released sometime back.
The 1-minute 28-seconds long teaser begins with Chaitanya’s voice over. “A wounded heart can push a man any far. That heart has brought me to a war. Over here, death is chasing me and I don’t know how and from where it is coming. Nor am I interested to know about it. Why? Because the truth is the weapon in my hand,” thunders Chaitanya in the teaser, giving a glimpse of what promises to be an edge-of- the-seat action thriller, with Venkat Prabhu’s stamp all over it. The director uses long and aerial shots from his footage, giving the teaser a stylish and rich look. Without giving too much of the plot, he also employs fast cuts at a particular point in the teaser to hook the viewers. Arvind Swami, who plays the antagonist, and Sarath Kumar also make their presence felt and it’s evident that they mean business. The action is kept real and Chaitanya, with a makeover, is seen pushing his limits both physically and mentally.
Produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under the banner of Srinivasaa Silver Screen, Custody opens in cinemas on May 12. Maestro Ilaiyaraaja and his son Yuvan Shankar Raja are jointly composing the music.
