If the teaser of Custody, front-lined by Naga Chaitanya, piqued the interest of viewers, then the trailer, which released on Friday, increases the anticipation surrounding the movie.
Playing out over two minutes and twenty five seconds, the trailer introduces Chay as a constable Shiva who stops the chief minister’s convoy much to the chagrin of his superior. He abides by the law and believes that truth might take time to win but it will triumph eventually. He has a love interest (Krithi Shetty) who only sees him as her suitor. She is ready to take her life if anyone other than Shiva marries her. The trailer takes a turn when a wanted hardcore criminal (Arvind Swami) is put behind the bars. There are forces who want Swami to be killed. How Chay produces him in the court racing against time and against an army of opponents seems to form the crux of the film, while promising an exhilarating ride with tense-filled moments and pulsating action. The background score by maestro Ilayaraja and his son Yuvan Shankar Raja heightens the tension surrounding the narrative.
