Elevations, elevations and more elevations. That’s the summary of the release trailer that the makers of Daaku Maharaaj, top-lined by Nandamuri Balakrishna, dropped on Friday evening in an attempt to drum up more buzz for the film ahead of its theatrical rollout on Sunday.
Spanning more than one minute and 30 seconds, it opens with a character played by Shine Tom Chacko saying that Balayya’s character hasn’t fallen on to the ground despite taking 16 stabs and a bullet, with him eventually going on to butcher many people. “He is not a human; he is a wild animal,” Tom declares. The new clip, like the old one, doesn’t give away much in terms of the storyline; it rather focuses on the many shades of the character that Balayya essays in the film. A police constable (played by Satya) wonders whether is an iron man, while Balayya says he has less enemies and more die-hard fans. That should get NBK fans whistling! Glimpses of Pragya Jaiswal and Urvashi Rautela also dot the trailer, while surprisingly Shraddha Srinath doesn’t even get a shot (maybe a talent like her is the surprise package). Bobby Deol is introduced as a mining baron who has his way. At one point, Balayya says Rayalaseema is his adda and that he has done masters in murders, in his trademark andaaz. It concludes with him warning someone at the other end of the phone. “If you scream it’s barking, if I do, it’s…” He lets us assume that it’s the roar of a lion. We get it. Samajhadaar ko ishaara kafi hey Bobby!
Rounding up, the trailer offers a glimpse into its riveting narrative set in multiple backdrops, where two formidable warriors and their loyal accomplices are at the heart of a high-stakes drama. Packed with breathtaking action, emotions and intense drama, the trailer highlights Balayya in a daring new avatar as he goes all guns blazing. Visually as well, the trailer stands out and this time around, Bobby has ensured that there are enough powerful one-liners that one expects from a Balayya film. Overall, it delivers a blockbuster wallop.
Written and directed by Bobby Kolli, the film, a production venture between Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, is a Thaman musical.
I did masters in murders - Daaku Maharaaj
The release trailer of #DaakuMaharaaj is good. And for me, it’s more vibrant than the theatrical trailer. This trailer has a couple of mass dialogues we expect in NBK’s films.
