Nani-starrer Dasara has become his first film to join the coveted $ 2 million club at the US box-office. US distribution house Prathyangira Cinemas took to Twitter to indicate that the film has hit the 2 million dollars mark. Dasara achieved this feat in just 12 days. “Dasara is now @NameisNani's career biggest grosser in the USA, touching the $2 million milestone. Thanks to the blessings of USA movie lovers and #PrathyangiraDevi #Dasara has crossed $2 million and counting,” the distribution firm posted on Twitter.

Nani’s films have always been a top draw at the US box office (Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, Eega, MCA, Ninnu Kori and Jersey have collected over $ 1 million) and Dasara was no different. This time the US audience showered extra love on the film and ensured that it breached the $2 million. Taking off to a flier in the US to begin with, the film slowed down a bit in the middle but then it had the legs to cross $2 million under two weeks. The content, performances of the lead actors and the music worked in favour of the film. With last week releases like Ravanasura and Meter not putting up a decent show, expect Dasara to cause more dent at the box office in the coming four days.

Dasara, which has minted Rs 110 crore gross so far, is directed by debutant Srikanth Odela, while Sudhakar Cherukuri backed it. Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar and Shine Tom Chacko played other key roles in the film.
