In what is quite a rare occurrence for a regional film, the third single from Nani-starrer Dasara, Chamkeela Angeelesi, has been met with unanimous positive response in all the languages it released. This comes on the heels of the second single, the heart breaking anthem Ori Vaari, which deals with the themes of loss and longing, too gaining massive popularity.

Rendered to perfection by Dhee and Ram Miriyala, Chamkeela Angeelesi, a folk melody with complete wedding vibes, describes the relationship and banter between a wife and husband. It has got a whopping 10 million views in just three days, indicating the rage it has become.

Natural star Nani told us in an interview (soon to be published) that Dasara soundtrack has five ditties total, with the fourth one set to release shortly. The fifth one will be dropped after the film opens as its lyrics contain a crucial plot point of the film. “Music director Santhosh Narayanan, who is debuting in Telugu with the film, sourced local instruments from Telangana villages to create an authentic sound of rural Telangana. He has recorded those live sounds played by Telangana folk artists in the background,” Nani added.

A political drama set in the backdrop of Singareni Coal Mines in Godavarikhani with Nani playing a rustic villager, Dasara sees noted names like Sai Kumar, Zarina Wahab, Samuthirakani, Tom Chacko (Malayalam), Deekshith Shetty (Kannada) and Poorna in supporting roles. Karimnagar lad Srikanth Odela, who assisted Sukumar for Nannaku Prematho and Rangasthalam, is making his directorial debut with the project, believed to have been made on a budget of Rs 70 crore. It opens in cinemas on March 30 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi simultaneously. The trailer drops this Tuesday.
