The filming of Nani’s ambitious Dasara, whose last schedule commenced during the second half of last month, has been wrapped up. The schedule saw the climax of the film, a Sudhakar Cherukuri production, being shot with the entire principal cast in attendance. Taking to his Twitter page, Nani exuded confidence that the film, like a diamond, will shine forever. “An Epic called #DASARA is done It’s a wrap. This diamond will shine FOREVER,” he posted. The actor shaved his beard and moustache after completing the show. Posting his new look, in another post, he wrote, “New day. New me :) #DasaraWrap.”

Film’s leading lady Keerthy Suresh also marked the completion of the shoot by posting a series of pictures. “Few films knock on your door and say - ‘Hey, I will be a feather in your cap’! That’s #Dasara for me. Love , Vennela #wrapup,” she wrote.

A political drama set in the backdrop of Singareni Coal Mines in Godavarikhani with Nani playing a rustic villager and speaking the Telangana dialect synonymous with Singareni, Dasara, which went to floors last March, sees noted names like Sai Kumar, Zarina Wahab, Samuthirakani, Tom Chacko (Malayalam), Deekshith Shetty (Kannada) and Poorna in supporting roles. Karimnagar lad Srikanth Odela, who assisted Sukumar for Nannaku Prematho and Rangasthalam, is making his directorial debut with the project, a Santosh Narayan musical. The film is believed to have been made on a budget of Rs 70 crore.

With Dasara wrapped up, Nani will move to his next with Vyra Entertainments for their production no 1. A joint production venture between Mohan Cherukuri (CVM), Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala and Murthy KS, the untitled film, a romantic drama, features Mrunal Thakur alongside Nani, while Vizag boy Shouryuv will be making his debut as a director. To begin next month, it will be shot in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Coonoor and Goa. Nani will be seen as a young dad in the film, which will be all about love.
