The film Dear Uma was made under the Suma Chitra Arts banner, with Sumaya Reddy serving as the writer, producer, and lead actress. Directed by Sai Rajesh Mahadev, the film features music by Radhan and cinematography by Raj Thota. Released on April 18, Dear Uma has received a warm response from audiences and has been well-received at the box office.

To celebrate this success, the film's team held a success meet on Saturday to thank the audience.

Speaking at the event, Sumaya Reddy said:
"The media has shown great support for Dear Uma, and I’m truly happy to see the positive response. While many films are struggling to see the light of day, we successfully released ours — and that itself is a big win for me. The audience is embracing our film, and we dedicate this success to all the women in the state.

I’ve come this far because of the support from my mother, my younger brother, and my team. Radhan’s music has deeply impressed everyone. Life begins in a hospital... and ends there, too. Dear Uma is based on such a meaningful subject, and I hope it reaches even more people. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported our film."

Director Sai Rajesh Mahadev stated:
"These days, audiences are hesitant to come to theatres. But because of media support and word-of-mouth, people are showing up. I thank the media for standing behind our film and everyone who gave us great reviews. Telugu audiences have always encouraged good cinema, and I hope this film reaches even greater heights with the continued support of the media and audience. Actor Rajeev Kanakala said:

సుమయ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘డియర్ ఉమ చిత్రానికి మీడియా ఎంతగానో సపోర్ట్ చేసింది. ఈ చిత్రానికి వస్తున్న రెస్పాన్స్ చూసి నాకు ఎంతో ఆనందమేస్తుది. ఎన్నో సినిమాలు ఇంకా బయటకు రావడం లేదు. కానీ మేం మాత్రం సక్సెస్ ఫుల్‌గా సినిమాను రిలీజ్ చేశాం. అదే నాకు పెద్ద సక్సెస్. మా సినిమాకు మంచి రెస్పాన్స్ వస్తోంది. ఆడియెన్స్ మా చిత్రాన్ని ఆదరిస్తున్నారు. రాష్ట్రంలో ఉన్న మహిళలందరికీ ఈ చిత్రాన్ని అంకితం చేస్తున్నాను. మా అమ్మ, తమ్ముడు, మా టీం సహకారం వల్లే ఈ స్థాయి వరకు వచ్చాను. రధన్ గారి సంగీతం అందరినీ ఆకట్టుకుంది. హాస్పిటల్‌లోనే మన జీవితం ప్రారంభం అవుతుంది.. అక్కడే మన జీవితం ముగుస్తుంది. ఇలాంటి ఓ మంచి సబ్జెక్ట్‌ మీద తీసిన మా డియర్ ఉమ చిత్రాన్ని మరింత ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లాలని కోరుతున్నాను. మా సినిమాను ఆదరిస్తున్న ప్రతీ ఒక్కరికీ థాంక్స్’ అని అన్నారు.

దర్శకుడు సాయి రాజేష్ మహదేవ్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘ప్రస్తుతం జనాలు థియేటర్లకు రావడం లేదు. కానీ మీడియా, మౌత్ టాక్ వల్లే థియేటర్లకు ఆడియెన్స్ వస్తున్నారు. మా సినిమాను ఇంతగా సపోర్ట్ చేస్తున్న మీడియాకు థాంక్స్. మా చిత్రానికి మంచి రివ్యూలు ఇచ్చిన ప్రతీ ఒక్కరికీ థాంక్స్. తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకులు ఎప్పుడూ కూడా మంచి సినిమాను ఎంకరేజ్ చేసి సక్సెస్ చేస్తూనే ఉంటారు. మా చిత్రాన్ని మరింత ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లాలని మీడియాని, ఆడియెన్స్‌ని కోరుతున్నాను. మా చిత్రానికి పని చేసిన ప్రతీ ఒక్కరికీ థాంక్స్’ అని అన్నారు.

రాజీవ్ కనకాల మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘సుమయ రెడ్డి ఎంతో కష్టపడి డియర్ ఉమ సినిమాని చేశారు. ఎక్కడా కాంప్రమైజ్ కాకుండా నిర్మించారు. రాజ్ తోట కెమెరా వర్క్ బాగుందని అంతా మెచ్చుకుంటున్నారు. రధన్ గారి మ్యూజిక్‌కు ప్రశంసలు వస్తున్నాయి. సాయి రాజేష్ మహదేవ్ దర్శకత్వంలో వచ్చిన ఈ చిత్రాన్ని మరింత ముందుకు తీసుకు వెళ్లాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.
