The trailer of Devaki Nandana Vasudeva, fronted by Ashok Galla, was released by the makers at an event in Hyderabad on Tuesday and it looks to be a pucca commercial mass entertainer.
A little over two minutes, the trailer opens with a mud water fight sequence, introducing Ashok heroically as he sends some rogue elements flying. His mother played by Jhansi pleads him to be careful for the running year as per his horoscope. He soon falls in love with a character played by debutant Manasa Varanasi and she reciprocates after some time. Next, we are introduced to the bad element of the story (Gajanan Nage) who is warned by a sadhu that his sister’s third child will lead to his death. His face off with Ashok over the latter’s love story and other plot elements seems to form the crux of the story.
Rounding up, the trailer offers a peek into its adrenaline-pumping world, dominated by Ashok kicking some serious ass in a series of high-octane action sequences. It’s evident that he is trying to get a mass makeover with the film. While nothing new is on offer in terms of the story or the characterizations, it promises a paisa vasool commercial entertainer with a cute love story into the mix, some drama and some divinity. Bheems Ceciroleo’s background score is thumping.
Produced by Somineni Balakrishna, Devaki Nandana Vasudeva’s story has been written by Prashanth Varma, while Sai Madhav Burra has penned the dialogue. The film, slotted for November 22, is Guna 369 helmer Ashok Jandyala’s second directorial venture.
