After tasting a momentous success like RRR, it has been a long wait for Jr NTR fans for his next. A lot of time went into the pre-production of his two-part action series Devara, directed by Koratala Siva. While the first part, produced by NTR Arts, also starring Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, is wrapping up filming at a brisk pace, there’s a good chance that the film may further be delayed.

NTR Arts already confirmed that all arrangements are being to ensure a multilingual release on April 5, but the film may face a new roadblock, thanks to Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly elections, which might be held in the same phase. While the election dates haven’t been announced yet, the team is wrapping up shoot as per schedule and plan to be ready with the first copy.

If the election dates fall in the same period, Devara is likely to face postponement. That’s not all. Dil Raju, who’s coming up with the Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur starrer Family Star, plans to release his film at the same time in case Devara’s pushed, sources suggest. Family Star too is nearing completion and there are decent expectations surrounding the entertainer too.

After Devara Part 1, Jr NTR will begin work on two projects - his Hindi film debut with War 2 (alongside Hrithik Roshan) and an untitled project with Prashanth Neel. The team of Devara hasn’t confirmed when the second part could go on floors. Srikanth, Prakash Raj, Shine Tom Chacko, Nihal Kodhaty essay other crucial roles in Devara.
