Buzz about Jr NTR-starrer Devara’s postponement has been going for a while owing to a lot of pending work and it is now official that the film will indeed be not making it to the cinema halls on April 5 later this year. On Friday, Tarak took to X to indicate the new arrival date of the film. It is October 10, 2024.

“#Devara Part 1 releasing on 10.10.24,” he wrote on X, while attaching a brand new still, in which he is in action mode, from the film.

At the same time, sources indicate that the chances of Devara blazing into cinemas on August 15 are not ruled out at this juncture if Pushpa 2, spearheaded by Allu Arjun, vacates that slot. The unit of Devara is looking to have the first copy ready by June-end, so there are chances for them to occupy the coveted August 15 slot in case Pushpa 2 doesn’t.

Set against the backdrop of forgotten lands of coastal India, Devara marks the Telugu debut of Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Jahnvi Kapoor, while Srikanth, Prakash Raj, Shine Tom Chacko and Murali Sharma are playing other supporting roles. It is a joint production venture between Mikkilineni Sudhakar’s Yuvasudha Arts and Hari Krishna Kosaraju of NTR Arts, with Anirudh Ravichander rendering music.
