You can’ take your eyes off Devara release trailer, which was dropped by the makers after two pm on Sunday. While it was delayed by more than three hours, it certainly was worth the wait.

A little over two minutes, the trailer opens with Devara (Jr NTR) telling his wife Jogula (Shruti Marathe) that he had a bad dream in which the sea turned red and became a red sea. “And it seemed I was the reason for it,” he says. We later see a raft of boats, against choppy waters, approaching a cargo ship in a bid to loot it. Cut to the voice over of Prakash Raj who says to dispel fear one should listen to a story of God, while to know what fear truly means one should listen to the story of Devara. A bloodbath at the hands of Devara follows, killing many men, while leaving Bhaira (Saif Ali Khan) infuriated. The trailer later transitions to Devara’s son who from a meek personality suddenly transforms into a warrior much to the joy of his love interest Thangam (Jahnvi Kapoor). At one point, Bhaira asks Jr Devara to ride the waves and rule the sea. The trailer is also dotted with a superb shot of the Jr trying to get on top of a shark with the help of a rope. It concludes with Devara saying when he asks, it means it’s an order.

Rounding up, the trailer, revealing just enough to intrigue viewers, promises an exhilarating blend of power, fear and transformation. The action sequences are choreographed with accuracy, assuring an adrenaline-fueled experience that pushes the boundaries of cinema. There’s enough to suggest major set pieces, including hand-to-hand combat and some spectacular underwater action. The cast is at the top of their game, led by Tarak, who is shown as a lighthouse of hope for the disadvantaged and a storm for evildoers. Anirudh’s background score is just about what a film needs of this depth and scale.

Devara- Part 1 is a joint production venture between Mikkilineni Sudhakar’s Yuvasudha Arts and Hari Krishna Kosaraju of NTR Arts. Also featuring Prakash Raj, Srikanth and Shine Tom Chacko, it sails into cinemas on September 27. Koratala Siva has written and directed it.

సముద్రం ఎక్కాలా… సముద్రం ఎలాలా!#Devara release trailer is superb. 🔥

It juxtaposes blues (for sea) and brown (for land) visuals.

Looking forward for the Box Office Tsunami on 27 September!https://t.co/8IkD5pCoN7 pic.twitter.com/Q8QYredpdk
